KEEP LOOKING AT HIM

MESSAGE: Unlocking Continuous Metamorphosis Through the Mirror of the Word
1. True Christianity Is Relational and Revealed
Christianity is fundamentally misunderstood when viewed as a religious system of rigid rules, mechanical rituals, or legalistic moral codes. True Christianity is relational, dynamic, and alive. It is the progressive unveiling and manifestation of the life, character, wisdom, and glory of Jesus Christ in and through a human being. The Christian walk is designed to be an intimate, personal fellowship with the Father, where the believer is continually transformed into the exact likeness of the Son.
Spiritual growth is not measured by how long you have been going to church or how many religious activities you participate in. Real growth occurs as you deepen your knowledge of Christ through intimate communion. As you discover Him, you discover your true identity, because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). The more you know Him, the more His divine nature flows effortlessly through your thoughts, words, decisions, and actions. This is why your personal relationship with Jesus Christ must remain your absolute highest priority in life.
2. The Science of Spiritual Transformation: Metamorphoō
How does this transformation actually take place? The Spirit of God reveals the blueprint in 2 Corinthians 3:18: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory…”
The Holy Spirit uses the word “changed,” which is translated from the Greek word “metamorphoō.” This is the precise term from which we get the scientific word metamorphosis. Metamorphosis describes a complete, miraculous transformation of an organism from one physical state to another—such as a caterpillar transforming into a vibrant butterfly. It is not an external cosmetic upgrade; it is an internal redesign that manifests outwardly.
Notice the divine mechanics of this transformation: as you behold, you are changed.
The Mirror (Glass): The mirror of God is the written and revealed Word of God (James 1:23–25). When you look into a physical mirror, you see your natural face. But when you look into the Word of God, you see the glory of God and your true reflection in Christ.
The Process: As you study, meditate on, and contemplate the Word, you are beholding the glory of the Lord. The Holy Spirit takes the divine realities you are contemplating and weaves them into the very fabric of your daily existence.
The Progression: Transformation in the Kingdom is from “glory to glory.” There is no stagnation in Christ. Every time you gaze into the Word, you step onto a higher level of glory, wisdom, authority, and spiritual excellence.
3. Walking on Water: The Power of Undivided Focus
In Hebrews 12:2, the Holy Spirit instructs us: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” The Greek expression used for “looking unto” literally means looking away from all else to fix one’s gaze entirely on one object.
This principle is powerfully illustrated in Matthew 14:28–30 during Peter’s legendary walk on the water. When Jesus called Peter to come to Him across the stormy Sea of Galilee, Peter stepped out of the boat into a realm of pure impossibility. Human beings cannot walk on water; gravity and fluid dynamics dictate that a man must sink. Yet, as long as Peter kept his eyes locked on Jesus, he defied natural laws and walked above the water effortlessly.
The trouble began when Peter allowed his focus to fragment:

He turned his gaze away from the Master.

He became acutely conscious of the roaring wind and the tempestuous waves.

Fear entered his heart, and he immediately began to sink.
Peter did not sink because the water suddenly got softer or because the wind grew stronger; he sank because he shifted his focus from the Creator to the circumstances.
This story serves as a vital lesson for every believer today. Living the Christian life is a divine call to “walk on water.” It is a call to live above human limitations, above economic depressions, above physical sickness, above fear, and above the corrupting influences of a fallen world. As long as your focus remains fixed on Jesus and His Word, you will reign over the storms of life. But the moment you allow yourself to be overwhelmed by the “wind and waves”—the sensory evidence of symptoms, financial reports, news headlines, and worldly anxieties—you begin to sink under circumstances that you were born to rule over.
4. Daily Practicing the Presence and Gaze of Christ
To maintain an unbroken gaze upon the Master, you must train your spiritual senses to prioritize the Word of God above all natural evidence.
When symptoms of sickness attack your body, refuse to fixate on the pain; fix your eyes on the truth that “by His stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). When financial pressure threatens your household, refuse to stare at the lack; gaze upon the reality that “my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
The Word is the only solid foundation in an ever-shifting world. As you continually behold Him through study, prayer, and deep meditation, your mindset is renewed, your spirit is fortified, and your life becomes an uninterrupted showcase of His beauty, power, and glory. Keep looking at Him!
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me into intimate, unbroken fellowship with You and for transforming my life by the power of Your Holy Spirit. As I continually behold Your glory through the mirror of Your Word, I am supernaturally metamorphosed into the very image of Christ—from one level of glory to a higher level of glory.
I refuse to be distracted by the winds, waves, and circumstances of this world. My eyes are permanently fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I walk in divine health, supernatural victory, infinite wisdom, and absolute dominion every day of my life, in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
