EXPRESS YOUR FAITH

MESSAGE BY: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD

MEMORISE: ” For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”Romans 10:10

I. FAITH IS AN ACTIVE PRINCIPLE OF THE SPIRIT

Welcome to Monday, August 10, 2026. Faith is not a passive sentiment, a theological concept, or a subtle mental agreement with biblical truths. Faith is a dynamic, active principle of the human spirit. If you do not actively practice your faith, it remains dormant and inactive. True faith is never silent, static, or hesitant. Many believers make the mistake of stopping at “believing,” assuming that because they intellectually agree with the promises of God, those promises will automatically manifest in their lives.
However, the scriptures clearly reveal that believing is merely the internal foundational step. God’s Word shows us that while believing takes place deep within the recreated human spirit to establish legal righteousness, the actual realization and manifestation of that righteousness require deliberate, outward action: with the mouth confession is made unto salvation!
There can be no experiential salvation until you vocalize what you believe in your spirit. The word salvation in the Greek text is ‘Soteria’, an all-encompassing term that extends far beyond the forgiveness of sins and the initial redemption experience. Soteria includes complete divine health, physical healing, financial preservation, safety, victory, deliverance, and every temporal and eternal spiritual blessing that was fully consummated through the death, burial, and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, when you receive spiritual illumination and truth from the Word of God, you must never wait for physical circumstances to align before you begin to act upon that truth. Sensory evidence is not the trigger for spiritual authority; the Word of God is. You must respond immediately with bold, unshakeable action!

II. THE MECHANICS OF CONFESSION AND SPIRITUAL DOMINION

To express your faith means to consciously synchronize every aspect of your earthly existence—your thoughts, your vocal declarations, and your body movements—with what God has decreed in His eternal Word. God’s Word acts as a spiritual mirror, revealing to you your true heavenly identity, your vast inheritance, and your supernatural ability in Christ Jesus. Once you see yourself in that mirror, you are required to act accordingly, completely refusing to wait for sensory confirmation.
The Holy Spirit instructs us through the Apostle Paul:
For we walk by faith, not by sight.”2 Corinthians 5:7
Walking by faith and not by sight means that your daily life is not governed, dictated, or restricted by what you see, feel, hear, or taste in the natural realm. Instead, your life is regulated strictly by what you believe in the Word of God. Because believing must be practiced, your words must continuously reflect your elevated spiritual position.
If the Word of God declares that you have eternal life (Zoe—the very life and nature of God), then you must walk, talk, and think like a person who possesses divine vitality, immune to sickness and decay. If the Word reveals that you have overcome the world, then you must face life’s economic challenges, health trials, and everyday pressures from the exalted position of an absolute conqueror.
If the Bible proclaims that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, make that your uncompromising, continuous affirmation:
  • Refuse to negotiate with physical symptoms of sickness or emotional feelings of weakness.
  • Reject the temptation to judge your standing with God based on earthly failures or human limitations.
  • Speak the Word boldly to your body, your family, your career, and your environment.
Faith is expressed through precise, targeted words and matching physical actions. Some believers acknowledge the absolute truth of the Word of God, yet they fail to practice it in their moments of trial. But spiritual laws dictate that faith only yields tangible results when it is actively expressed.

III. BECOMING AN UNAPOLOGETIC DOER OF THE WORD

The Apostle James brings profound clarity to the mechanism of spiritual growth and manifestation when he writes:
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”James 1:22
To be a “doer of the Word” simply means to act out your believing—to give your faith a physical expression. When you act on the Word, you bridge the gap between the invisible spiritual realm and the visible physical world, bringing the divine reality of God’s promises into physical manifestation. Every time you act on the Word despite contrary circumstances, your faith is fortified, sharpened, and energized to produce even greater, more dramatic results.
Practicing the Word does not mean you are desperately trying to make God’s Word become true; the Word of God is already settled and eternally true in heaven. Rather, by acting on it, you align your earthly frequency with divine reality, allowing the inherent power locked within the Word to burst forth and transform your physical circumstances.
Stop waiting for the pain to leave before you declare yourself healed. Stop waiting for money to arrive before you declare yourself rich in Christ. Speak to the mountain first, act on the truth of God’s Word, and watch reality transform to match your faith-filled confession!

IV. PRAYER & CONFESSION

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You from the depth of my heart for the glorious gift of Your Word, which continually builds my faith, transforms my mind, and gives direct leadership to my spirit. I boldly express my faith today by aligning my thoughts, my vocal declarations, and my daily actions with Your eternal truth.
I walk strictly by faith and completely independent of physical sight, sensory evidence, or natural feelings. Because I am an active doer of the Word, I see Your supernatural power, divine health, unshakeable peace, and unlimited victory producing tangible, undeniable results in every area of my life today and forever, in the mighty and matchless Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

V. BIBLE TEXT & FURTHER STUDY

James 1:22-25 (KJV)

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Spiritual Insight: The person who merely hears the Word without acting on it suffers from spiritual amnesia—forgetting their divine identity in Christ. True biblical blessing is attached strictly to the continuous action taken upon the Word.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Spiritual Insight: Faith gives concrete, physical substance to spiritual hopes and acts as the undeniable legal proof of realities that cannot yet be perceived by physical senses.

Mark 11:23 (KJV)

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
Spiritual Insight: Jesus establishes that vocal declaration (saying) combined with heart-believing is the spiritual key that exercises authority over mountain-like obstacles. Notice that “saying” is mentioned three times, emphasizing the vital role of vocal confession in expressing faith.

VI. BIBLE READING PLAN

1-Year Bible Reading Plan

Romans 12:1-16 & Psalms 85–88
Romans 12:1-16: Apostle Paul urges believers to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is their reasonable service. He instructs the church not to be conformed to this present world, but to be transformed by the continuous renewing of their minds through the Word. Paul outlines the harmonious operation of spiritual gifts within the body of Christ, emphasizing genuine love, fervency in spirit, patience in tribulation, hospitality, humility, and living peaceably with all men.

Psalms 85–88: Psalm 85 is a prayer for God’s restored favor and revival, declaring that mercy and truth have met together, and righteousness and peace have kissed. Psalm 86 is David’s earnest prayer for mercy, preservation, and guidance amidst trouble. Psalm 87 celebrates Zion as the city of God, loved above all the dwellings of Jacob. Psalm 88 is a deep, solemn cry for deliverance from severe affliction, distress, and darkness, demonstrating steadfast calling upon God even in the darkest hours.

2-Year Bible Reading Plan

Philippians 1:15-22 & Isaiah 61
Philippians 1:15-22: Paul addresses the varied motives of those preaching Christ during his imprisonment, rejoicing that regardless of whether Christ is preached out of envy or goodwill, the Gospel is being proclaimed. He expresses his unwavering confidence that Christ will be magnified in his body, whether by life or by death, uttering the immortal words: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Isaiah 61: Prophet Isaiah delivers a profound messianic prophecy declaring: “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek…” The chapter promises the restoration of Zion—giving beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. It decrees that God’s people shall be named Priests of the Lord and inherit everlasting joy and righteousness.

VII. PROPHETIC DECREE

I decree and declare that on this Monday, August 10, 2026, your mouth is filled with the wisdom and authority of God’s Word!
Every mountain of sickness, limitation, lack, or fear standing before you is completely flattened right now as you release faith-filled words!
You are not a victim of sensory circumstances, world economies, or natural reports; you are an unapologetic doer of the Word who walks in perpetual triumph, divine health, and supernatural abundance!
As you activate your faith today, the power of God is released to align your world with heaven’s agenda, in the mighty and exalted Name of Jesus Christ! Amen! Hallelujah!
