Welcome to Thursday, September 10, 2026. In ancient times, the word “minister” did not carry the prestigious connotation it holds in modern governance or religious circles. A minister was simply a domestic servant—someone who ran menial errands for their master. Their daily routine involved washing the master’s feet, cleaning laundry, and disposing of chamber pots.

While Moses was alive, Joshua was his personal minister. He served behind the scenes, taking care of domestic tasks and attending to Moses’ needs.

Imagine the sheer shock Joshua experienced when Moses died, and God suddenly spoke directly to him in Joshua 1:1–2:

This was an extraordinary, accelerated promotion. Overnight, a servant who had spent decades in the shadow of a great prophet was thrust into the role of Commander-in-Chief over millions of Israelites.

The weight of this sudden elevation was so overwhelming that Joshua was paralyzed with anxiety. We know this because, in Joshua 1:6–9, the Almighty had to command him three separate times: “Be strong and of a good courage!”

I decree today that God will grant you an accelerated promotion so massive that it will leave you and your onlookers in total awe, in Jesus’ Name!

Whenever I see people scheming, manipulating, and frantically struggling to secure leadership positions, I realize they do not understand how God operates.

Human systems promote based on academic qualifications, intellectual brilliant, social status, and self-promotion. God, however, operates on entirely different spiritual principles:

Confounding the Mighty: God rarely hands accelerated, extraordinary promotions to those who rely on worldly wisdom or political connections. As 1 Corinthians 1:27 reveals, God deliberately chooses the foolish, weak, and overlooked things of the world to confound the wise and mighty.

Protecting His Glory: God will never accelerate the elevation of anyone who thinks their own intelligence or talent brought them success. He gives extraordinary acceleration exclusively to those who are humble enough to ensure that all the glory goes back to God alone.

When God accelerates your elevation, He doesn’t just lift you—He completely reverses situations to confound those who once mocked, rejected, or abandoned you.

On the day my wife and I were getting married at the local registry, we encountered a young woman standing there in a full wedding gown—completely alone. Her groom had abandoned her right at the altar. She was devastated and nearly lost her mind, yet she survived the trauma.

Years later, she married a military soldier. Unknown to her, the man who had jilted her on her wedding day also joined the military.

Then God stepped in with a sudden reversal:

A military coup occurred, and her new husband was appointed as a Military Governor!

Her former fiancé—the man who had abandoned her—was assigned to serve as her husband’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC).

Whenever she stepped out to enter her vehicle, her former fiancé was obligated by military protocol to stand at attention, salute her, and hold the car door open for her as the Governor’s First Lady!

Beloved, when God decides to promote you, He turns human rejection into divine elevation! I decree today that every person who has mocked, abandoned, or written you off will be confounded as God accelerates your glory, in Jesus’ Name!

Pray these prayer points with spiritual intensity, calling forth divine acceleration and reversal over your life:

1: Thanksgiving for Sovereign Favor: Heavenly Father, I thank You because my elevation does not depend on human connections, background, or political schemes, but on Your sovereign mercy!

2: Deliverance from Self-Reliance: Lord, deliver me from relying on my own intellect, strength, or wisdom; teach me to depend entirely on Your Holy Spirit!

3: Grace for Total Humility: Father, keep my heart humble before You so that I will never touch or steal Your glory when You elevate me!

4: The Joshua Anointing for Sudden Advancement: Lord, just as You lifted Joshua from a servant to the Commander of Israel, thrust me into my place of destiny with power and authority!

5: Supernatural Strength over Anxiety: Father, whenever the weight of new responsibilities threatens to overwhelm me, whisper Your strength, courage, and peace into my spirit!

6: Confounding the Wise and Mighty: Lord, use my life as a living testimony that You use the weak and overlooked things of the world to confound the proud!

7: Complete Divine Reversal: Father, turn every shame, rejection, and betrayal in my past into a platform for my greatest glory and elevation!

8: Silencing Mockers and Opponents: Lord, let those who have laughed at my struggles be compelled to witness and honor the hand of God upon my life!

9: Dismantling Every Glass Ceiling: Father, shatter every institutional, spiritual, or generational ceiling delaying my accelerated promotion in my career, business, or ministry!

10: Unshakable Courage to Possess the Land: Lord, grant me the boldness and courage required to step into new territories and possess everything You have promised me!

11: Anointing for Unwavering Obedience: Father, grant me the grace to meditate on Your Word day and night, ensuring I never turn to the right or to the left from Your commands!

12: Personal Requests for Accelerated Elevation: [Present your specific areas of desire—whether in your job, business, or family—asking God for an immediate, accelerated promotion.]

Following the death of Moses, God speaks directly to Joshua, son of Nun, who had served as Moses’ minister. God commands Joshua to lead the entire nation of Israel across the Jordan River into the promised land. The Lord assures Joshua that every place the sole of his foot treads upon will be given to Israel, and that no man will be able to stand against him all the days of his life. God promises His abiding presence, promising never to leave nor forsake him. God repeatedly commands Joshua to be strong and courageous, instructing him to keep the Book of the Law constantly on his lips, meditating on it day and night to ensure complete obedience, which will guarantee prosperity and good success.

1 Corinthians 1:26–29: “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise… That no flesh should glory in his presence.” — Reveals God’s strategy of choosing the humble to prevent human boasting.

Psalm 75:6–7: “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” — Reinforces that true elevation originates exclusively from God.

Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Advises complete reliance on divine guidance rather than human wisdom.

Isaiah 40:29–31: Promises that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength and mount up with wings like eagles.

Daniel 1: Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon besieges Jerusalem, carrying off sacred vessels and young Israelite nobility (including Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) to be trained in Babylonian language and culture for three years. Renamed Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, the four youths resolve not to defile themselves with the king’s rich food and wine. They request a ten-day trial eating only vegetables and water. At the end of ten days, they appear healthier and better nourished than those eating royal dainties. God grants them knowledge, skill, and understanding, with Daniel possessing insight into visions and dreams. When examined by King Nebuchadnezzar, they are found ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom.

Daniel 2: Nebuchadnezzar has troubling dreams and demands his magicians not only interpret the dream but also describe what he dreamed, threatening them with death. When the wise men fail, Daniel seeks time from the king and prays with his companions. God reveals the mystery to Daniel in a night vision. Daniel blesses God and appears before the king, explaining that the king saw an enormous image with a head of gold, chest/arms of silver, belly/thighs of bronze, legs of iron, and feet of iron mixed with clay. A stone cut out without hands struck the image’s feet, crushing the entire statue, while the stone became a great mountain filling the earth. Daniel interprets the metals as successive human empires, culminating in an everlasting Kingdom set up by God. Nebuchadnezzar falls prostrate, confesses Daniel’s God as King of kings, promotes Daniel to ruler over Babylon, and appoints his three friends as administrators.

Daniel 3: King Nebuchadnezzar builds a giant golden statue ninety feet high on the plain of Dura and decrees that at the sound of royal music, everyone must fall down and worship it or be thrown into a blazing furnace. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to bow down. Brought before the furious king, they boldly declare that their God can deliver them, but even if He does not, they will not serve his gods. Enraged, Nebuchadnezzar orders the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual. The fire is so intense it kills the soldiers throwing them in. However, the king looks in and sees four men walking unbound and unharmed in the fire, with the fourth looking like “the Son of God.” Nebuchadnezzar calls them out, observes that not a hair on their head was singed, praises God, decrees death for anyone speaking against their God, and promotes the three men in the province of Babylon.
