REFUEL, RECHARGE, RELOAD 1

MESSAGE BY: Pastor E. A. Adeboye

MEMORISE: ” And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”Hebrews 12:24

I. THE DIVINE ARCHITECTURE OF REPLENISHMENT

Welcome to Thursday, August 27, 2026. God designed human beings with an intrinsic need for regular refuelling. In His infinite wisdom, He instituted the natural rhythm of day and night so that after a period of intense labor, man can sleep, rest, and restore depleted physical energy.
Consider how physical hunger operates:
The Warning System: Physical hunger is not a disease; it is an internal alarm system signaling that your body is running low on nutrients.

The Restoration Process: When you eat a meal, you recharge your physical stamina, allowing your body to continue functioning at peak performance.

The Battery Principle: Just as electronic devices require periodic connection to a power source to remain operational, your spirit man requires continuous spiritual recharging to stay effective.

If you attempt to run a machine indefinitely without fuel or battery charging, it will inevitably stall. In the very same way, ignoring your spiritual maintenance will leave you drained, vulnerable, and spiritually ineffective.

II. RESPONDING TO SPIRITUAL HUNGER

Whenever your spiritual batteries begin to run low, the Holy Spirit triggers an internal longing—a spiritual hunger—within your soul. You might notice a sudden dryness in worship, a decline in spiritual alertness, or an overwhelming sense of weariness when facing daily challenges.
When that spiritual hunger hits, never ignore it!
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”Proverbs 24:10
If you allow spiritual depletion to persist, your spiritual immunity drops. When adversity arrives—as it inevitably does in this world—you will lack the spiritual stamina to stand firm. The moment you feel that inner thirst, step aside immediately to fast, pray, and soak in God’s Word to refill your spiritual reserves.

III. THE HOLY COMMUNION: DIVINE FUEL FOR THE BELIEVER

Beyond personal prayer and fasting, God has provided a potent, mystery-filled avenue for spiritual refuelling: The Holy Communion.
In Leviticus 17:11, God lays down a foundational spiritual law:
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
And during the Last Supper, as recorded in Matthew 26:27–28, Jesus took the cup, gave thanks, and said:
“Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
Notice how dark forces operate:
The Occult Counterfeit: Members of dark occult groups understand the reality of blood empowerment. When seeking higher spiritual rank or greater power, they demand blood sacrifices, often drinking victim blood to absorb demonic energy.

The Divine Reality: As covenant children of God, when we worthily partake of the Holy Communion, we consume the physical symbols of the blood and body of our risen Lord. We are partaking directly of divine life!

As Hebrews 12:24 declares, the blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel. Abel’s blood cried out from the ground for vengeance (Genesis 4:10), but the sprinkled blood of Jesus speaks mercy, divine healing, restoration, strength, and supernatural empowerment into your spirit!

IV. NEVER WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY DRAINED

A common mistake many believers make is waiting until they are spiritually bankrupt, burnt out, or defeated before seeking God’s face.
Do not wait for a complete spiritual breakdown! Whenever you notice your strength ebbing away, take advantage of the table of the Lord. Approach the Holy Communion with deep reverence, faith, and expectation. As you partake, declare that the very life, vitality, and power of Jesus Christ are flooding your spirit, soul, and physical body. Refuel, recharge, and reload your spiritual weapons today!

V. TWELVE POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

Pray these prayer points with spiritual determination, activating fresh strength through the blood of Jesus:
1: Thanksgiving for Spiritual Provisions: Heavenly Father, I thank You for instituting spiritual channels for my continuous refuelling, recharging, and reloading.

2: Sensitivity to Spiritual Hunger: Lord, grant me absolute spiritual sensitivity to recognize when my spiritual reserves are low, and give me the grace to respond immediately.

3: Impartation of Fresh Strength: Father, according to Proverbs 24:10, purge every form of spiritual weakness from my life; let my strength never fail in the day of adversity!

4: Revival of Prayer and Fasting: Lord, ignite a fresh fire of prayer and fasting upon my personal altar, keeping my spirit man burning with holy passion.

5: Releasing the Power of the Communion: Heavenly Father, as I partake of the Holy Communion, let the indestructible life in the blood of Jesus saturate my spirit, soul, and physical body!

6: Activating the Speaking Blood: Lord, let the blood of sprinkling speak better things into my health, family, career, and spiritual walk today, in Jesus’ Name.

7: Neutralizing Spiritual Fatigue: Every demonic assignment to drain my spiritual energy, wear me out, or induce spiritual burnout, be destroyed by fire!

8: Divine Health and Vitality: By the mystery of Christ’s body and blood, I command every trace of sickness, weakness, and disease in my body to be swallowed up in life!

9: Overcoming Dark Counterfeits: Lord, expose and destroy every altar of darkness making blood sacrifices to manipulate my life, destiny, or environment!

10: Fresh Anointing of the Holy Spirit:Father, pour out fresh oil upon my head today; refuel my spiritual lamp and let my light shine brighter than ever before.

11: Sustained Daily Devotion: Lord, grant me the discipline to abide continuously in Your presence, drinking daily from Your fountain of living waters.

12: Personal Requests for Spiritual Renewal: [Present your specific areas of spiritual exhaustion, health needs, or ministry goals to God, asking for supernatural reloading.]

VI. BIBLE TEXT SUMMARY & FURTHER STUDY

Bible Text Summary: Leviticus 17:11 & Matthew 26:27–29

In Leviticus 17:11, God establishes that the life of any living creature resides in its blood, declaring that He has given blood upon the altar for the atonement of human souls. In Matthew 26:27–29, during the Last Supper, Jesus takes the cup, gives thanks, and instructs His disciples to drink, revealing that the wine represents His blood of the new covenant shed for the remission of sins. He adds that He will not drink of the fruit of the vine again until He drinks it new with them in His Father’s Kingdom.

Further Study Scripture References

Hebrews 12:24: “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” — Highlights the superior, life-giving voice of Christ’s blood over old covenant sacrifices.

Proverbs 24:10: “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” — Emphasizes the crucial need for strong spiritual stamina before trials arise.

John 6:54–56: “Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” — Demonstrates the deep spiritual union and continuous empowerment available through the Lord’s Table.

VII. BIBLE READING PLAN

1-Year Bible Reading Plan

Ezekiel 13–15
Ezekiel 13: Prophecy against the false male and female prophets of Israel. God rebukes those who prophesy out of their own imagination, putting false visions of peace over Jerusalem when there is no peace. He compares them to fox spirits among ruins and untempered mortar smeared on a wall that will collapse during a violent storm. God promises to tear down their lies and deliver His people from their snares.

Ezekiel 14: Elders of Israel come to sit before Ezekiel while holding idols in their hearts. God declares that anyone who sets up idols in their heart and comes to a prophet will be answered directly by God according to their idolatry. He emphasizes that even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in the land, their righteousness could only save themselves—not their sons or daughters—when God sends His four severe judgments (sword, famine, wild beasts, and plague).

Ezekiel 15: Parable of the useless vine. God asks Ezekiel what makes wood from a grapevine better than a branch from any tree in the forest. Since vine wood cannot be used to make tools or pegs, and is only fit for fuel in the fire, God compares the inhabitants of Jerusalem to an uncharred vine branch that is good for nothing, decreeing their total judgment.

VIII. HYMN 8: I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.
Chorus:
I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee!
Oh, bless me now, my Savior;
I come to Thee!
I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;
Temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh.
(Chorus)
I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.
(Chorus)
I need Thee every hour, teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.
(Chorus)
I need Thee every hour, Most Holy One;
Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son!
(Chorus)

IX. PROPHETIC DECREE

I decree and declare that on this Thursday, August 27, 2026, every trace of spiritual weariness, exhaustion, and burnout in your life is terminated by fire!
As you partake of the Holy Communion and wait upon the Lord, your spiritual energy is refueled, your strength is recharged, and your spiritual weapons are reloaded!
The blood of Jesus speaks life, divine health, supernatural vigor, and absolute victory into every cell of your body and every area of your destiny!
You will not faint in the day of adversity; you walk in endless life, rising above every demonic challenge, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Amen! Hallelujah!
