REVERSING LAWS

I. THE SUPREMACY OF THE LAWGIVER

As we enter Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, we must contemplate a profound truth: the universe is governed by laws—biological, physical, and spiritual. These laws, such as gravity, thermodynamics, and floatation, provide the order that allows life to exist. However, we must never forget that these laws are not independent entities; they are “servants” of the Creator. Revelation 4:11 reminds us that all things were created for His pleasure.

Because God is the Author of the laws of nature, He is not a prisoner to them. He possesses the divine prerogative to suspend, overrule, or completely reverse these laws whenever His purpose or the cries of His children necessitate a miracle. When God “reverses a law,” He is simply demonstrating that the “Law of the Spirit of Life” is superior to the “Law of Sin and Death” and the physical constraints of this realm.

II. THE SUSPENSION OF GRAVITY: WALKING ON WATER

In today’s Bible reading (Matthew 14:22-32), we witness a classic case of a law being suspended. Jesus, after a long session of prayer on the mountain, found His disciples struggling against a contrary wind in the middle of the sea. Instead of calling for a boat, He simply stepped onto the surface of the water.

1. The Divine Overrule

The law of gravity dictates that a human body, being denser than water, must sink. Yet, under the feet of the Master, the liquid became as solid as pavement. Jesus didn’t delete the law of gravity for the entire planet; He simply suspended its effect on His person to reach His disciples.

2. The Invitation to the Impossible

When Peter said, “Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water,” Jesus replied with one word: “Come.” In that moment, the “Reversal of Laws” became transferable. As long as Peter’s eyes were fixed on the Lawgiver, gravity remained suspended for him as well. It was only when he focused on the “boisterous wind”—the natural environment—that the natural law resumed its hold on him. This teaches us that to walk in the miraculous in 2026, we must stay focused on the Word rather than the “weather” of our circumstances.

III. THE REVERSAL OF FLOATATION: THE AXE-HEAD TESTIMONY

In 2 Kings 6:1-7, we see another staggering example. A son of the prophets was working to expand their dwelling when his borrowed iron axe-head flew off the handle and sank into the River Jordan.

According to the law of floatation (Archimedes’ Principle), iron does not float in water. The situation was naturally hopeless. However, the Prophet Elisha did something that seemed nonsensical: he threw a piece of wood into the spot where the iron had disappeared.

What happened next was a “Double Reversal”:

The Wood: Which was supposed to float, “sank” or was used as a divine “magnet.”

The Iron: The heavy axe-head defied its own nature and “swam” to the surface.

The Almighty God reversed the molecular density requirements of that iron just to save a man from the debt of a borrowed tool. If God can make iron swim to solve a financial embarrassment, what law can He not reverse for you?

IV. THE REVERSAL OF REDUCTION: THE MULTIPLICATION EFFECT

In John 6:1-14, we see the law of physics and mathematics being challenged. Naturally, if you have five loaves and two fishes and you give one loaf away, you have four left. This is the Law of Reduction—the more you give out, the less you have.

However, Jesus introduced a higher law: The Law of Thanksgiving. The Bible records that He took the little, looked up to heaven, and gave thanks. As the disciples distributed the food, the law was reversed. Instead of reducing, the bread multiplied in their hands. They started with five loaves and ended with twelve baskets of leftovers.

In the Kingdom of God, thanksgiving is the “catalyst” for the reversal of lack. While murmuring leads to the “Law of Destruction” (1 Corinthians 10:10), thanksgiving leads to the “Law of Multiplication and Glorification” (Jeremiah 30:19).

V. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: ACTIVATING THE REVERSAL

Q1: Why does God choose to ‘reverse’ laws instead of just making things easy from the start?

Answer: Miracles are “signs.” They are designed to point the world back to the Creator. When a law is reversed, it proves to the observer that there is a Power higher than nature. It forces people to “Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,” as our hymn suggests.

Q2: Can I trigger a ‘Law Reversal’ for my health or finances in 2026?

Answer: Absolutely. If the law of biology says a disease is “terminal,” God can reverse the cellular decay. If the law of economics says you should be bankrupt, God can initiate a “multiplication” through your seeds and your thanks. The key is found in the Memorise: Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving acknowledges God’s goodness, which then activates His power to overrule natural “facts” with spiritual “Truth.”

Q3: Does ‘little faith’ stop the law from being reversed?

Answer: Peter’s doubt caused him to start sinking, but it didn’t stop Jesus from reaching out. Even when our faith wavers, God’s mercy (Psalm 118:1) is the ultimate safety net. However, to walk on the water consistently, we must grow beyond doubt.

VI. THE 2026 PROPHETIC PERSPECTIVE: BREAKING THE “NATURAL” CEILING

We are living in a time where human laws—political, economic, and social—seem to be closing in on the believer. But I have a message for you this Tuesday: The God of the “Fourth Watch” is walking toward you.

• Is there a “Law of Heredity” that says you must suffer what your parents suffered? It is reversed!

• Is there a “Law of the Land” that is working against your business? It is suspended!

• Is there a “Law of Age” that says it is too late for you to conceive or achieve? The Lawgiver is on the scene!

VII. REFLECTION & ACTION POINT

THOUGHT TO PONDER:

If iron can swim and bread can grow while being eaten, why am I worried about the “fixed” laws of my current problem?

ACTION POINT:

Take a piece of paper right now. Think about all the things the Lord has done for you—even the small “natural” mercies. Write them down and spend at least 15 minutes thanking Him joyfully. Do not ask for anything; just appreciate Him. Watch how that atmosphere of gratitude begins to “soften” the hard laws of your current challenge.

PROPHETIC DECREE:

I decree today that every law of nature, man, or hell that is currently working against your divine purpose is hereby REVERSED in the Name of Jesus! I command the “Law of Gravity” dragging your spirit down to be suspended! I decree that you shall “float” where others are sinking! Every “Iron Axe-head” of your destiny that has been lost in the river of life is swimming back to you now! Because you have chosen to give thanks, your “little” is receiving the command to multiply! This week, you shall witness the “Excellency of the Power” of the Lawgiver in your home, in Jesus’ Name!

PRAYER:

Father, I thank You because You are the King of Creation. I thank You because no law is too strong for You to overrule. Lord, please arise and reverse every law that is standing in the way of my testimony. Suspend the laws of lack, sickness, and delay in my life. Send help to me from above and let my life be a theatre of Your wonders. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
