MESSAGE BY: FOURSQUARE GOSPEL CHURCH IN NIGERIA

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 SAMUEL 4–6; LUKE 12:35–59

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 KINGS 17:2–9

KEY VERSE: “And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.” — (1 KINGS 17:6)

I. THE SUPREMACY OF THE SPOKEN SEED

As we enter this Thursday, April 9, 2026, the Holy Spirit is teaching us about the logistics of the Spirit. In the kingdom of God, nothing happens by accident. Everything moves according to the “Word sent.” In 1 Kings 17, we see Elijah, a man who had just shut the heavens with a word, now needing a word himself to survive the very drought he prophesied.

The Bible tells us in Luke 8:11 that “the seed is the Word of God.” When God speaks, He is planting a seed of reality into the atmosphere. The moment the Word is spoken, it begins to take root. It doesn’t matter if the economy is dry or the “brook” is small; when the Word goes forth, the environment must reorganize itself to support that Word.

II. THE MYSTERY OF THE CHERITH LOGISTICS

Consider the miracle at the Brook Cherith. It is a masterpiece of divine coordination. Elijah was in hiding, yet he was the most well-fed man in Israel.

1. The Disobedience of Instinct

Ravens are naturally scavengers. They are birds that are notorious for eating their fill and even neglecting their own young. Yet, the Bible says they brought Elijah bread and meat twice a day.

How did they locate him? The Word was their GPS.

Why didn’t they eat the food? The Word was their muzzle.

Where did they get prepared bread and meat in a famine? The Word was their source.

This is the living Word of God in manifestation. When God sends His Word to sustain you, He can use the most unlikely “birds” to deliver your blessing. He can compel your “enemies” or “scavengers” to bring you “bread and flesh” until your season of hiding is over.

III. PRECISION, TIMING, AND LOCATION

One of the greatest fears of the human heart is the fear of being “lost” or “forgotten.” You may be asking, “Does God know where I am? Does He know my rent is due? Does He know my health is failing?”

1. God Knows Your Coordinates

Elijah was tucked away by a tiny brook “before Jordan.” It wasn’t a major city or a visible landmark, but the ravens never missed their way. They didn’t drop the food at the wrong brook. God’s Word has a delivery guarantee. * Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” #### 2. The Perfection of Timing

The ravens were never early and never late. They came in the morning and in the evening. In 2026, many are anxious because they feel God is “running late.” But Ecclesiastes 3:11 declares, “He hath made everything beautiful in his time.” Divine timing is a component of divine provision. If the meat came once a week, it would spoil. If it came once a year, Elijah would starve. God provides in “daily bread” increments to keep your faith active.

IV. THE TRANSITION: FROM THE BROOK TO THE WIDOW

The Word of God is dynamic. In verse 7, the brook dried up. Many Christians panic when their “brook” (a job, a contract, a helper) dries up. But look at verse 8: “And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath…”

The drying of the brook was not a sign of God’s failure; it was a sign that the Word was moving Elijah to a new location. God had already “commanded a widow woman” there to sustain him.

Your provision is not tied to a location; it is tied to the Word. * If the brook dries, it’s because there is a “Zarephath” waiting for you.

V. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: ACTIVATING THE SENT WORD

Q1: How do I hear the ‘Word’ that tells me where my provision is?

Answer: Through the “Tabernacle of the Word”—prayer and Scripture. Elijah was a man of prayer. When you stay in the Presence, you develop “spiritual ears” to hear the instruction that leads to the brook. God’s provision usually follows an instruction.

Q2: Why does God sometimes use ‘Ravens’ (unlikely or unpleasant sources) to help me?

Answer: To prove that He is the Source, not the vessel. If a “Dove” brought the food, Elijah might have thanked the bird. When a “Raven” brings it, you know it could only be God! Don’t despise the “unlikely ravens” God is sending to your business or ministry this month.

Q3: Can someone ‘intercept’ my raven?

Answer: No. What God has commanded for you is specifically “encoded” for you. Just as the ravens found Elijah in a hidden place, your blessing will find you even if you are in the “backside of the desert.” No one can take what is yours when it is sent by the Word.

VI. REFLECTION & PROPHETIC ALIGNMENT

THOUGHT TO PONDER:

Is my heart positioned to receive a “Raven Delivery” today, or am I too busy doubting the timing of the Lord?

PROPHETIC DECREE FOR APRIL 9, 2026:

I decree today that the Word of the Lord is locating you in your “hidden place!” Every “raven” commissioned to feed you is released now! I command every spiritual scavenger to become a carrier of your “bread and meat.” Your brook will not dry up until your Zarephath is ready. I decree that you will not miss your season of visitation. No power shall divert what is yours, and no delay shall hinder your portion. This Thursday, you shall see the “beautiful timing” of God in your finances, your family, and your health, in Jesus’ Name!

PRAYER:

Father, I thank You because Your Word is a Seed that never fails. I thank You for knowing exactly where I am and what I need. Lord, I pray that just as You fed Elijah with bread, meat, and water, You shall continue to provide for me and my household. I receive the “Word for my next level.” I silence every voice of doubt and I command my ravens to appear with my portion today! Thank You, Jehovah Jireh, for making all things beautiful in my life. Amen.
