FEAR NOT

I. A DAILY PROMISE FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR
Welcome to Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Bible scholars and theologians have frequently observed that the phrase “fear not”—or its direct equivalents—appears approximately 365 times throughout the pages of Holy Scripture. That is not a coincidence; it is a deliberate heavenly provision!
For every single day of the year, God has pre-packaged a specific, personalized prescription of courage for your soul: Fear Not.
As believers, our immunity against fear is anchored in two foundational spiritual realities:
The Infinity of Divine Love: The primary reason you must refuse to be afraid is that the Almighty God loves you personally and unconditionally. As Romans 8:37 declares, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. When you are genuinely convinced of the Father’s love, fear loses its grip on your heart.
The Assurance of Divine Presence: Fear flourishes in the illusion of isolation. The moment you realize that the Creator of heaven and earth is physically and spiritually present with you, anxiety evaporates.
II. LOCKED DOORS CANNOT KEEP JESUS OUT
In today’s Bible reading (John 20:19–23), we witness the traumatized disciples gathered behind tightly locked doors on the evening of the resurrection:
“Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”
The disciples had seen their Master crucified, and terror told them that they were next on the executioner’s list. They barricaded themselves inside a room, hoping physical locks could shield them from their enemies.
Yet, consider the beauty of divine intervention:
The Door of the Sheep: No locked physical, financial, or situational door can keep Jesus away when He decides to visit His children. As He revealed in John 10:7, He Himself is the Door!
The Impartation of Peace: Jesus did not rebuke them for their weakness; He stepped right through the walls of their fear and declared: “Peace be unto you!”
The Holy Spirit’s Empowerment: He breathed on them, imparted the Holy Ghost, and transformed a group of terrified fugitives into bold, nation-shaking apostles!
In John 14:1, Jesus gives us the antidote to mental anguish: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” When fear knocks at the door of your heart, let your faith answer!
III. BREAKING THE TORMENT OF FEAR
In 1 John 4:18, the Apostle John writes: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.”
Fear is not merely a passive emotion; it is an active spiritual tormentor designed by darkness to achieve three specific destructive goals:
1: Oppression: It weighs down your mind with worst-case scenarios, imagined catastrophes, and constant dread.
2: Suppression: It silences your voice, paralyzes your spiritual gifts, and prevents you from stepping out in boldness.
3: Limitation: It keeps you trapped inside comfortable, locked rooms of safety, preventing you from possessing your promised land.
The antidote to fear is not human willpower; it is unshakeable faith in God’s willingness to help you. As Hebrews 13:5–6 reminds us, God has promised: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Cast all your worries, anxieties, and fears upon Him today (1 Peter 5:7), for He cares for you with an everlasting love!
IV. TWELVE POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS
Pray these prayer points with spiritual authority, casting out every spirit of fear from your life:
1: Thanksgiving for Eternal Love: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your unconditional, unfailing love that surrounds my life, my family, and my future every single day!
2: Renunciation of the Spirit of Fear: Lord, in line with 2 Timothy 1:7, I reject every spirit of fear, timidity, and anxiety; I receive Your Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind!
3: Breaking the Torment of Anxiety: Father, let the power of Your perfect love cast out every hidden fear, night terror, and tormenting thought from my heart!
4: Divine Intervention Through Locked Doors: Lord, step through every shut door of physical, financial, or emotional limitation in my life today and speak Your peace!
5: Supernatural Strengthening in Weakness: Father, fulfill Your Word in Isaiah 41:10; strengthen me, help me, and uphold me with the right hand of Your righteousness!
6: Victory Over the Fear of Death and Calamity: Lord, I decree that I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord; premature death and sudden disaster have no power over me!
7: Boldness to Possess New Territories: Father, grant me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and possess every spiritual and earthly blessing You have destined for me!
8: Silence Over Evil Reports: Lord, deliver my ears and heart from being troubled by bad news, economic instability, or malicious rumors; my heart is fixed, trusting in You!
9: Infusion of Unshakeable Peace: Holy Spirit, flood my home, marriage, career, and mind with the peace of God that passes all human understanding!
10: Shielding Against Demonic Oppression: Father, let Your presence be an impenetrable wall of fire around me, making me completely immune to satanic intimidation!
11: Confidence in God’s Covenant: Lord, cause me to walk daily with the firm assurance that because You are my Helper, no human or demonic scheme can bring me down!
12: Personal Requests for Peace and Courage: [Present your specific fears, challenges, or anxieties, asking God for immediate peace, boldness, and victory.]
V. BIBLE TEXT SUMMARY & FURTHER STUDY
Bible Text Summary: John 20:19–23
On the evening of the first day of the week following the resurrection, Jesus’ disciples gather behind shut doors in profound fear of the Jewish religious authorities. Suddenly, Jesus appears directly among them, proclaiming, “Peace be unto you.” He shows them His wounded hands and side, filling the disciples with immense joy. Repeating His blessing of peace, Jesus commissions them, declaring that as the Father sent Him, He is sending them. He then breathes on them, commanding them to receive the Holy Spirit and granting them apostolic authority regarding the remission and retention of sins.

Micah 1–4
Micah 1: Micah of Moresheth receives the Word of the Lord during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, warning of impending judgment against Samaria and Jerusalem. God is described as coming forth from His holy place, stepping upon the high places of the earth until mountains melt like wax before fire. Samaria will be reduced to a heap of ruins in an open field, its carved idols smashed, and its temple gifts burned, because its spiritual disease is incurable and has reached the very gates of Jerusalem.
Micah 2: God pronounces woe upon corrupt elites who scheme iniquity upon their beds and execute it at daybreak simply because they possess power—coveting fields, seizing houses, and defrauding people of their inheritances. In response, God devises a calamity against this family from which they cannot pull their necks. False prophets command Micah, “Prophesy not,” preferring smooth lies about wine and beer. Yet God promises a future remnant: He will gather Israel like sheep in a fold, with the Breaker (the Messiah) opening the way and leading them as King.
Micah 3: Micah delivers a scathing rebuke to the rulers and leaders of Jacob who hate good and love evil, metaphorically tearing the skin off God’s people, breaking their bones, and chopping them up like meat for a pot. When calamity strikes, these corrupt leaders will cry to God, but He will hide His face from them. Micah contrasts these hireling prophets with his own calling, boldly declaring: “But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.”
Micah 4: Micah presents a glorious messianic prophecy of the latter days: the mountain of the Lord’s house will be established as the chief of mountains, and nations will stream to it to learn God’s ways. God will judge between many peoples, causing them to beat their swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks—nation will not lift sword against nation, nor study war anymore. Though Zion currently writhes in pain like a woman in labor and must go to Babylon, God promises to redeem her, gather her enemies like sheaves to the threshing floor, and grant her iron horns and bronze hooves to crush her opposers.
VII. HYMN 29: WHEN PEACE LIKE A RIVER ATTENDETH MY WAY
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,

VIII. PROPHETIC DECREE
I decree and declare that on this Tuesday, September 22, 2026, every spirit of fear, anxiety, and panic is permanently cast out of your life!
Every locked door of opportunity, health, financial abundance, and spiritual growth is opened by the resurrection power of Jesus Christ!
You will not live under the torment of fear, bad news, or demonic threats; you are shielded by the unconditional love and almighty hand of God!
The peace of God that passes all human understanding saturates your mind, your heart, and your home today—you walk in bold faith, divine strength, and perpetual victory, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Amen! Hallelujah!
