Unlocking Victory through the Unshakeable Word and Anticipatory Praise
MESSAGE: THE PROOFS OF FAITH
We live in challenging times—often described as the “last days”—where the pressure, resistance, and opposition orchestrated by the enemy seem to be intensifying. The scripture acknowledges this spiritual intensity, but gives us the assurance that the devil is not in control; God is in control. However, navigating these seasons of resistance requires more than casual belief; it demands a life powered by strong faith in God. It is faith that enables us to surmount satanic resistance and overcome every obstacle designed to derail our destiny.
The crucial question, then, is not whether we have faith, but whether our faith is real. How do we prove the authenticity of our faith, especially when circumstances scream otherwise? The answer lies in tangible actions that declare our trust in God’s reliability. As the Scripture reminds us, “Every word of God proves true. He defends all who come to him for protection” (Proverbs 30:5, TLB).
This message explores two essential and irrefutable proofs of genuine faith that guarantee victory regardless of the intensity of the battle.
1. Proof of Faith: Unwavering Adherence to God’s Word
The first and most foundational proof of faith is a stubborn, uncompromising adherence to the Word of God, refusing to let go no matter what opposing evidence surrounds you.
A. The Superiority of God’s Report
Our anchor scripture emphatically states that “Every Word of God proves true.” This truth establishes the Word of God as the highest authority in your life—truer than every other evidence around you.
The World’s Evidence: The world constantly presents “evidence” of lack, sickness, failure, and fear. The news reports economic crises, doctors report terminal diseases, and your bank account reports scarcity. These are all real, visible evidences.
God’s Evidence: God’s Word, however, reports divine health (1 Peter 2:24), abundance (Philippians 4:19), victory (1 Corinthians 15:57), and perfect protection (Psalm 91:4).
Faith is the radical decision to ignore the evidence of your senses and embrace the higher evidence of Scripture. When the doctor says “cancer,” faith says, “By His stripes, I am healed.” When the economy says “scarcity,” faith declares, “My God shall supply all my need.”
B. The Principle of Receiving His Arm
Isaiah 53:1 asks, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” This verse draws a direct link between believing God’s report and experiencing God’s powerful intervention (His Arm).
When you believe the report of the Lord, you are positioning yourself to be defended by God Himself. Proverbs 30:5 confirms that God “defends all who come to Him for protection”—protection against deadly virus, cancer, shame, emptiness, scarcity, and depression. Holding on to the Word in defiance of circumstances is the spiritual posture that guarantees you are under God’s defense system.
The Assignment of Faith: If you are interested in God’s protection, you must know His promises. Your assignment is to find out the specific promises of God for your life in Scripture and hold on to them like a drowning man holds on to a life raft. Your grip on the Word must be stronger than the waves of doubt.
2. Proof of Faith: Praising in Anticipation of Expectation
The second proof of faith is the counter-intuitive action of praising God not after the victory, but in anticipation of it. This practice is a spiritual declaration that the promise is already sealed and the breakthrough is already on its way.
A. Singing Before Seeing
Psalm 106:12 describes the reaction of the Israelites after God parted the Red Sea: “Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.” Their belief instantly triggered their song. Similarly, the Apostle Paul wrote about Abraham: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Abraham’s faith was proven by his act of giving glory to God for a promise that had not yet materialized in the natural realm.
Praise in anticipation is an act of superior faith. It is looking past the present difficulty and celebrating the certainty of God’s faithfulness.
B. The Midnight Breakthrough
The most potent example of anticipatory praise is the story of Paul and Silas in the prison of Philippi (Acts 16:25-26).
The Situation: They were victims of persecution—beaten, severely injured, and thrown into the innermost prison with their feet fastened in the stocks. In human terms, their situation demanded lamentation, complaining, and despair.
The Action of Faith: “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.” They did not sing about their woe; they praised God for their expected freedom. Their faith was so robust that it allowed them to sing in the face of chains.
The Result of Power: “And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”
Their act of worship and celebration in a situation of oppression and persecution was a demonstration of uncommon faith. More than that, it served as a potent tool of liberation. Their praise didn’t just change their mindset; it changed their physical reality, literally shaking the foundations of the enemy’s stronghold.
Praising God in anticipation or expectation is proof of unusual faith and is the spiritual equivalent of stamping your victory receipt.
Conclusion
In these last days, the path to triumph over satanic resistance is paved with demonstrated faith. You are guaranteed victory only as you consistently engage in actions that confirm your belief in God’s supremacy.
- Hold Fast to the Word: Never let go of God’s promises, knowing they are truer than every visible crisis.
- Praise in Advance: Do not wait for the breakthrough to worship; worship is the vehicle that brings the breakthrough.
Remember the prophetic word over your life: Your faith will see you through in this season in Jesus’ Name. Those who trust in God cannot rust in life; those who wait on the Lord cannot waste on the earth.

Lord, thank You for all Your promises to me. I will praise You in every situation as I trust You to cause all things to work together for my good, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
