From Information to Illumination: Unlocking Your Divine Inheritance

MESSAGE: THE POWER OF REVELATION KNOWLEDGE

The foundation of the Christian life is not just belief, but a deeper, more intimate understanding of God’s Word. It’s the difference between merely knowing about God and truly knowing Him. This is the essence of revelation knowledge. The Apostle Paul, a man who understood this power intimately, prayed a remarkable prayer for the church in Ephesus: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him” (Ephesians 1:17).

Paul wasn’t praying that they would simply read the Bible more. He was praying for a spiritual unveiling—a divine download from the Holy Spirit that would move the words from the pages of a book into the very fabric of their being. This is the difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge, between information and illumination. This spiritual revelation is the key to unlocking the power and dominion that are already yours in Christ.

The Scriptural Mandate for Knowledge

Throughout the Bible, the importance of knowledge is a recurring theme, often linked directly to deliverance and a victorious life.

Proverbs 11:9 (KJV): “…through knowledge shall the just be delivered.” This verse highlights a powerful principle: spiritual knowledge is a tool for liberation. It’s not about how hard you fight, but how much you know. When you have revelation of God’s Word concerning your situation, you are already on the path to freedom. For example, a believer who understands that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17) is delivered from the fear of attack because they have the knowledge to stand firm in God’s promise.

2 Peter 1:2-3 (KJV): “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” This scripture makes an astonishing claim: everything you need for a life of godliness and purpose has already been given to you. But how do you access it? Through the knowledge of God and Jesus. This isn’t just about accumulating facts; it’s about a growing, personal knowledge that allows God’s power to flow into your life, multiplying grace and peace.

The victorious Christian life isn’t built on luck or good fortune; it’s built on the foundation of revelation knowledge of God’s Word.

Unlocking Your Divine Identity

The tragic reality for many Christians is that they are living far below their potential. They have the Word in their heads but not in their spirits. This is why Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-18 is so crucial: he prayed that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened so they could “know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

What you don’t know, you can’t claim. What you haven’t seen with the eyes of your spirit, you can’t enjoy. The full blessings of the Gospel—salvation, healing, prosperity, and authority—are already yours. They are a present-hour reality, but they must become real to you through revelation. Only then can they manifest in your life.

The Bible, especially the Epistles, is God’s mirror. It reveals your true identity in Christ. When you look into this mirror, you don’t see the old person who was a victim of sin and circumstances; you see a new creation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” The old man with his limitations, weaknesses, and failures is gone. You are now fashioned after Christ—righteous, victorious, and a living tabernacle of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV): “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” You are not just a forgiven sinner; you are the very righteousness of God. This is not a future promise but a present reality. When you have this revelation, you can stand before God without shame or guilt.

The Holy Spirit: The Giver of Revelation

Revelation knowledge isn’t something you can earn or muster on your own. It is a gift from the Holy Spirit. He is the ultimate teacher and guide who reveals the deep truths of God.

John 16:13-15 (KJV): Jesus promised, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.” The Holy Spirit’s primary ministry is to reveal Jesus and all that He has accomplished for us. He takes the words of the Bible and makes them come alive in our hearts, turning information into illumination.

This is why personalizing the Scriptures is so vital. Don’t read the Word like a history book. Read it as a living document written about you. When you meditate on the Word and spend time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He will unveil the realities of your inheritance in Christ. When that happens, these truths become a part of your consciousness.

Faith Works by Revelation

Faith is not a blind leap in the dark; it is a confident response to revelation. When your spirit takes a hold of God’s truth, you no longer speak with doubt, but with boldness. You don’t act in fear, but with confidence. The results are inevitable: testimonies, victories, unending joy, peace, and prosperity.

This is the life of dominion God has called us to live. It is a life lived by revelation knowledge, not by head knowledge or the dictates of the world. It’s a life where every so often, you can declare with confidence that you are “filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”

Conclusion

In a world that operates on what it can see, the believer is called to live by what is unseen—the profound truths of God’s Word revealed by the Holy Spirit. Revelation knowledge is the engine of the victorious Christian life. It transforms your identity, empowers your faith, and grants you access to the fullness of God’s blessings. By meditating on the Word and cultivating a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit, you can move beyond mere information and step into the glorious reality of your divine inheritance.

Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the spirit of wisdom and revelation so I can know and relate with you and walk in the reality of my identity, authority, dominion, victory and righteousness in Christ Jesus. Thank you for enlightening the eyes of my understanding to live in the reality of your Word and experience supernatural results, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
