THE EXPANSION SERIES: 2026
MESSAGE BY: PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: NUMBERS 14–15
MEMORISE: “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.” (ISAIAH 54:2, KJV)
BIBLE READING: GENESIS 13:14–17
I. THE THEOLOGY OF VISUAL POSSESSION
In Genesis 13, we encounter a pivotal moment in the life of Abraham. It was only after Lot had separated from him that God spoke. Lot represented the “limited view” and the “baggage of the past.” Once the separation was complete, God gave Abraham a command that serves as the foundation for all kingdom enlargement: “Lift up now thine eyes.”
The spiritual law is simple but profound: What you cannot see, you cannot possess. God did not just promise Abraham the land; He tied the volume of the gift to the range of Abraham’s vision. He said, “All the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it.” This implies that if Abraham had only looked at the ground beneath his feet, he would have inherited only a few square inches. But by looking North, South, East, and West, he laid claim to a destiny that would change the world.
II. THE PROPHETIC WALK: A TESTIMONY OF THE 800 ACRES
Many years ago, when the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was offered a 114-acre campground in the United States, it seemed like a massive achievement. To the human mind, 114 acres was “enough.” But the God of enlargement is never satisfied with “enough” when “overflow” is available.
I remember staying overnight at that site. The cold was biting, nearly overwhelming. Yet, in that atmosphere of physical discomfort, the Spirit of God issued a challenge: “Take a walk. Walk around the campground. The more you see, the more I will give you.”
Motion Activates Vision: Standing still gives you a 360-degree view, but walking gives you a progressive view. As I walked in the cold, my eyes captured more territory, and as they did, my spirit laid claim to it. Today, that 114-acre site has exploded into over 800 acres of prime territory for the Kingdom.
The House of Prophecy: That same night, I saw a large house adjacent to the land. God whispered, “Look at that house; it is yours.” Two years later, without me mentioning it to the owner, he decided to sell. He confessed that he and his wife had been “contemplating” the sale for two years—the exact moment God spoke to me in the dark.
The Lesson: Your walk of faith prepares the ground for your possession. God moves people’s hearts to align with what He has already shown you in secret.
III. THE THREE DIMENSIONS OF ENLARGEMENT
To “Enlarge your Coast” according to Isaiah 54:2, you must address three specific areas:
- 1. Lengthen the Cords (Vision): This is the reach of your faith. You must stop thinking “locally” and start thinking “globally.” If your vision is only for your daily bread, you will never see the bakery God has for you.
- 2. Strengthen the Stakes (Capacity): Expansion without foundation leads to collapse. As you grow bigger, your character, your prayer life, and your discipline must grow deeper. The “stakes” hold the “tent” against the wind.
- 3. Spare Not (Sacrifice): Enlargement requires a “no-holds-barred” attitude. You cannot enlarge your coast while holding onto “small-town” habits or stingy mindsets. You must be willing to stretch.
IV. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: NAVIGATING YOUR EXPANSION
Q1: Why does God wait for ‘Lot’ to leave before He shows us the big picture?
Answer: Lot represents “compromise” and “distraction.” Often, we are too busy managing relationships or situations that aren’t part of our divine destiny. When those distractions are removed, your spiritual “peripheral vision” improves, and you can finally see what God is pointing at.
Q2: How do I practically ‘walk the land’ if my enlargement is in business or career?
Answer: To “walk the land” in business is to research the heights of your industry. It is to read books by those who have gone further. It is to “scout” the territory of excellence. If you want to be a world-class surgeon, “walk the land” by studying the most complex cases. Let your mind see the peak so your hands can eventually reach it.
Q3: What if I feel stuck in a ‘small place’ right now?
Answer: Abraham was standing in one spot when God told him to look. You don’t need to be in a big place to have a big vision. Vision is an internal faculty. Use your “sanctified imagination” to see yourself where God says you should be. Prophesy over your current “small” reality until it stretches to match your vision.
V. THE ENLARGEMENT PROTOCOL: A STRATEGIC GUIDE
Arise and Walk: Don’t just sit and wish. Take a step. Start the course, write the proposal, or visit the site of your dreams.
Look Beyond the Obvious: Ask God to show you the “hidden houses”—the opportunities that are adjacent to your current blessing but not yet in your hand.
Worship in the Cold: Don’t wait for “perfect conditions” to possess your land. I took my walk in the freezing cold. Your greatest breakthroughs often happen when you choose to obey God despite physical discomfort.
VI. ACTIVATION & PRAYER SUITE
A. Personal Petitions: For Visionary Eyes
The Scales-Removal Decree: Father, every “Lot” and every “scale” obscuring my vision, be removed today! Lord, open my eyes to see the “North, South, East, and West” of my destiny, in Jesus’ Name!
The Territorial Command: Lord, give me the grace to “arise and walk.” I refuse to be stagnant. I move into the length and breadth of my promised land today, in Jesus’ Name!
The Spare-Not Spirit: Father, give me the courage to “spare not.” I lengthen my cords and strengthen my stakes. I prepare for an overflow that exceeds my current capacity, in Jesus’ Name!
B. Prophetic Declarations
4. The Next-Year Prophecy: I declare that by this time next year, I will be far greater than I am today! My coast is expanding, and my influence is increasing!
5. The Possession Shout: Everything God has shown me, I take it! Every “house” He has pointed out, I possess it! No devourer shall stop my enlargement!
KEY POINT: God can give you everything He has shown you, but He cannot give you what you refuse to see.
HYMN 26: THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING
Showers of blessing we need: Mercy-drops round us are falling, but for the showers we plead.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Numbers 14–15
PRAYER: Lord, please open my eyes to see beyond my current reality so that I can truly experience Your overflowing blessings. Grant me the eyes of a possessor and the heart of a pioneer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
