The hallmark of God’s kingdom strategy in 2026 remains a mystery to the carnal mind: God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. In a world obsessed with credentials, resumes, and “self-made” success, the Spirit of God is looking for the “foolish” and the “weak.” Why? Because when a man who is naturally “mighty” succeeds, the world praises the man. But when a man who is “foolish” or “weak” shatters expectations, the world is forced to look at the God behind him.
As 1 Corinthians 1:27 declares, God chooses the things that are “not” to bring to nothing the things that “are.” If you feel unqualified today, you are actually in the perfect position for a divine summons. Your lack of natural ability is not a disqualification; it is a prerequisite for the manifestation of His glory. God is not looking for your strength; He is looking for a vacancy where His strength can reside.
The Necessity of Inadequacy:
To Cultivate Dependency: If you could do it alone, you wouldn’t need Him. Inadequacy forces you to lean on the Great I AM.
To Confound the Wise: God delights in using the “least likely” to silence the “most likely.”
To Protect the Glory: God will not share His glory with another. He chooses vessels that know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the power is from Him. (2 Corinthians 4:7).
II. THE ANATOMY OF THE CALLED: THE LEAST, THE YOUNG, AND THE STAMMERER (JEREMIAH 1:6)
To understand why you are “Called Beyond Your Ability,” we must look at the “Hall of the Inadequate” in the Scriptures. Every great general in God’s army began with a “No” based on their own limitations.

Moses (The Stammerer): He looked at his speech impediment and asked, “Who am I?” (Exodus 3:11). God didn’t give him a speech therapist; He gave him His presence.

Solomon (The Child): He felt like a “little child” who did not know how to go out or come in (1 Kings 3:7).
Jeremiah (The Youth): He cried out, “Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child” (Jeremiah 1:6).
What God sees that you don’t:
He sees the “End-Product”: While you see your “lack of skill,” God sees the finished masterpiece He is building from the inside out.
He sees “Willingness” over “Readiness”: Readiness is a state of the mind, but willingness is a state of the heart.
He sees His own DNA: Since He lives in you, your limits are no longer the boundary of what can be achieved.
III. THE PROTOCOL FOR EQUIPPING: STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS (2 CORINTHIANS 12:9)
How do you transition from feeling “too small” to acting in “divine greatness”? The protocol is not self-confidence, but God-dependence. The process of being equipped for a call beyond your ability follows a specific path.
The Surrender of Self-Disqualification: Stop telling God why He made a mistake in choosing you. To disqualify yourself is to insult the Wisdom of the One who called you.

The Embrace of the Challenge: God grows you through challenges that “stretch” your faith. If it doesn’t require faith, it probably isn’t a divine call.
The Reliance on Grace: Remember the promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Your weakness is the exact “socket” where God’s power plugs in.

Answer: No. Moses was 80 when his real work began. Abraham was nearly 100. In God’s calendar, you are not too late; you are “in season.” The God who is unlimited by time can compress years of progress into a single moment of obedience.
