SCRIPTURE: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (JOHN 3:3, KJV)
I. THE GREAT MISCONCEPTION: NATURE VS. WORKS
In the world today, and even within religious circles, there is a pervasive and dangerous misconception regarding salvation. Many people operate under the “Scales of Justice” philosophy—the idea that if their good deeds, charity, and kindness outweigh their bad deeds and errors, God will eventually grant them entrance into His presence.
However, the Word of God shatters this human logic. Salvation is not a matter of “Good Works” vs. “Bad Works”; it is a matter of NATURE. 1. The Limitation of the Flesh (Galatians 6:15): The Apostle Paul makes it clear: “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.” Rituals (circumcision) or the lack thereof (uncircumcision) do not move the needle of eternity. What matters is the emergence of a New Creature. 2. The Biological Impossibility: You cannot “work” your way into a different species. A dog cannot become a human by behaving like one; it must be born as one. Similarly, a human being, born of the flesh, cannot “behave” his way into the Kingdom of God. He must be born of the Spirit.
3. The Only Access Point: The New Birth is not a “denominational idea” or a “church doctrine.” It is a legal and spiritual necessity. Without it, you are blind to the Kingdom. You cannot “see” (comprehend, perceive, or access) the realities of God’s domain while remaining in your old nature.
II. THE MECHANICS OF THE NEW BIRTH: RECREATION OF THE SPIRIT
What happens when a person is “Born Again”? It is not a psychological shift or a resolution to “do better.” It is a literal recreation of the human spirit.
The Incorruptible Seed (1 Peter 1:23): You are born again not of corruptible seed (human biology), but of Incorruptible Seed—the Word of God. The Word of God enters your heart, and the Holy Ghost uses that Word to ignite a new life within you.
The Impartation of Zoe: John 3:6 tells us, “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” At the moment of the New Birth, the Holy Ghost imparts the Life and Nature of God (Zoe) into your spirit. You move from being a mere biological entity to being a “God-man”—a person in union with the Divine.
The Washing of Regeneration (Titus 3:5): It is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy. It is a “washing” and a “renewing.” The old spirit that was dead to God is removed, and a new spirit that is alive to God is positioned in its place.
III. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: NAVIGATING THE NEW CREATION REALITY
Q1: Can I be a ‘good person’ and still not see the Kingdom of God?
Answer (John 3:7): Yes. Nicodemus, to whom Jesus spoke these words, was a “good man,” a moral leader, and a religious teacher. Yet Jesus said to him, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Moral excellence is a virtue, but it is not a substitute for spiritual life. You need a new life, not just a new lifestyle.
Q2: What happens to the ‘Old Me’ when I am born again?
Answer (2 Corinthians 5:17): The Bible says, “Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” In the eyes of God, your past ceases to exist. You are not a “repaired” version of your old self; you are a New Species of Being that never existed before. You have no past; you only have a future in Christ.
Q3: Is the New Birth a gradual process?
Answer (Romans 10:9-10): No. While spiritual growth is gradual, the New Birth is instantaneous. The moment you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus, the transition from darkness to light is immediate.
IV. THE FIVE PILLARS OF THE NEW CREATURE LIFE
Identification: Knowing that you are now “In Christ.” Where He is, you are.
Righteousness: Accepting that you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. You can stand before God without guilt, inferiority, or condemnation.
Oneness: Recognizing that you are “Joined to the Lord” and are “one spirit” with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).
Kingdom Function: Realizing you now function in a Kingdom of Light, power, and glory. You are no longer subject to the “elements of this world.”
Divine Health: The life of God in your spirit is a “vitalizing force” for your physical body.
V. ACTIVATION & PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have never experienced this new birth, today is the day of your visitation. There is no alternative. You must be born again to experience the God-life.
THE PRAYER OF SALVATION
“O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Hallelujah!”
PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION
Dear Father, I thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. I affirm that I am born again, a new creature in Christ Jesus. I walk in the reality of the divine life and function in Your kingdom of light, righteousness, and glory. Thank You for making me one with You, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
