BIBLE READING TRACK (RBT): EXODUS 35-37

TEXT: PSALM 22:22-28

“I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly, I will praise you.” (Psalm 22:22)

I. THE PARADOX OF PSALM 22: FROM GOLGOTHA TO GLORY

As we enter the final week of January 2026, we are confronted with one of the most profound transitions in the entire Psalter. Psalm 22 begins with the harrowing cry of the forsaken: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” It is the quintessential song of suffering—a messianic blueprint of the crucifixion. However, in verse 22, the “Key” changes. The minor chord of lament is suddenly overtaken by the major chord of Public Testimony.

This transition reveals a fundamental Kingdom Principle: Private pain is intended to become public praise. David, having navigated the “Valley of the Shadow of Death,” refuses to keep his deliverance a secret. He understands that his survival is not just for his personal comfort, but for the “Assembly” (Qahal). In 2026, you must realize that your miracle is not your property; it is a “Community Asset” designed to fortify the faith of others.

II. THE FORENSIC ANATOMY OF TESTIMONY

In verses 23–24, David provides a “Forensic Report” of God’s character during the crisis. He addresses the descendants of Jacob and Israel with a specific revelation: “For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face…”

1. The God Who Listens (v. 24)

The greatest fear during suffering is the “Hidden Face” of God. The enemy whispers that God is indifferent or disgusted by your pain. David’s testimony destroys this lie. He confirms that even when God seemed silent, He was “Listening.” Testimony is the act of stripping the “Mask of Indifference” off the face of God and revealing His “Attentive Mercy” to the community.

2. The Great Assembly (v. 25)

David says, “From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly.” This suggests that God Himself provides the “Music” and the “Lyrics” for our praise. When you testify, you are not just telling a story; you are performing a “Divine Composition.” The “Great Assembly” refers to the gathering of the faithful where the “Vows” of the redeemed are fulfilled.

III. THE SOCIO-SPIRITUAL IMPACT: FEEDING THE POOR

A fascinating shift occurs in verse 26: “The poor will eat and be satisfied.” How does David’s praise result in the poor being fed?

The Spiritual Feast: When God is praised, His presence is manifested. In that presence, the “Spiritual Poor”—those who are hungry for hope—find satisfaction.

The Communal Feast: In ancient Israel, many “Vow Offerings” were sacrificial meals shared with the community. When a man was delivered, he threw a “Praise Party” where the poor were invited to eat.

In 2026, your testimony should have a tangible impact. When people hear what God has done for you, their “Hearts should live forever.” Your story should be “Bread” for the hungry soul.

IV. THE GLOBAL DOMINION OF PRAISE

Verses 27–28 expand the scope from a “Small Village” to the “Ends of the Earth.”

“All the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord.”

This is the Missionary Power of Praise. 1. Remembering and Turning: Nations do not turn to God because of arguments; they turn because they “Remember” His deeds. Testimony is the “Memory-Trigger” for the world.

2. The Bowing of Families: When a family in your neighborhood sees the “Signature of God” on your household, they are drawn to bow before your King.

3. The Rule of Nations: Praise is a declaration of Dominion. When we praise God in the assembly, we are asserting His right to rule over the political, economic, and social systems of 2026.

V. CONCLUSION: DON’T BURY THE EVIDENCE

Imagine the village in our opening story. If the rains came and the farmers hid their crops and silenced their songs, the neighboring villages would still think the drought was in effect.

Many Christians are “Evidence Buriers.” They receive the rain of mercy but maintain the “Face of Drought.” In this year 2026, do not hide the faithfulness of God. Whether it is in your family, your ministry, or your workplace, Declare the Name. Your praise is the “Invite” that the families of the earth are waiting for.

INSIGHT FOR THE JOURNEY

Never overlook God’s acts of faithfulness, no matter how small. A “Small Rain” is still proof that the heavens are open.

  • Your testimony is the “Key” to someone else’s “Lock.”

STRATEGIC PRAYER POINTS

Repentance for Ingratitude: Father, I am sorry for the times I treated Your miracles as “Normal.” I repent for my past ingratitude and for burying the evidence of Your mercy.

The Mouth of the Testifier: O Lord, open my lips! Give me the courage to declare Your Name in the Great Assembly. Let my story become a “Fire” that warms the hearts of the discouraged.

The Global Turn: Father, as I praise You today, let the “Families of my community” remember and turn to You. Let my life be a “Sign and a Wonder” that attracts the nations.

Dominion Decree: I decree that dominion belongs to my God! I celebrate His rule over my career, my health, and my nation in this year 2026!

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 22:23 — “You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honour him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A community that praises together, stays together; and a nation that remembers God’s deeds, thrives under His dominion.

PROPHETIC WORD: I see a “Rain of Testimonies” falling upon your household! Before this month of January ends, you will have a “New Song” that will satisfy the poor and silence the enemy, in Jesus’ Name!
