RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: APRIL 2026 DEEP-DIVE

DOMINION OVER THE FEAR OF DEATH: LIVING IN THE DEATH-FREE ZONE

MESSAGE BY: PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

BIBLE READING: HEBREWS 2:14–15

1-YEAR PLAN: LUKE 9:37–62; JOSHUA 16–19

2-YEAR PLAN: ROMANS 6:12–23; PSALM 106

MEMORISE: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” — (HEBREWS 2:14–15)

I. THE FORENSIC DESTRUCTION OF THE TYRANT

As we conclude the first week of April 2026, the Spirit of God is bringing us into a staggering revelation concerning our absolute safety. Hebrews 2:14–15 is not merely a poetic sentiment; it is a forensic, legal report from the courts of Heaven. It tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ participated in our humanity—taking on flesh and blood—for one specific, strategic mission: To execute the destruction of the one who held the power of death.

1. The End of the Monopoly

Before the resurrection of Christ, the devil held a monopoly on human exit. He used death as a terrorizing weapon to keep humanity in a state of perpetual “slavery.” But Jesus entered the territory of death, defeated the “strong man” in his own house, and stripped him of his keys. The victory wasn’t partial; it wasn’t a “truce.” It was a total annihilation of the devil’s authority over your life and your end.

2. The Abolition of the Exit

2 Timothy 1:10 uses a very powerful word: Abolished. To abolish means to render void, to bring to naught, or to make of no effect. Jesus has abolished death. He didn’t just delay it; He changed the nature of existence for the believer. He has brought Life and Immortality to light through the Gospel. In Christ, you have been moved from the “Departure Lounge of Fear” to the “Arrival Hall of Glory.”

II. THE TRANSGREDENT LIFE: BEYOND “WEARING OUT”

One of the most profound truths of the New Creation is that you were not designed to “wear out.” The world has a philosophy of “aging and decay.” They believe that as the years go by, you must naturally become weaker, slower, and more susceptible to the “gravity of death.”

But you are a New Creation!

Incorruptible Life: The life of God in you (Zoe) is ageless. It doesn’t diminish with the calendar.

Ageless Vitality: This divine life doesn’t deteriorate; it permeates. It flows from your spirit into your physical body, renewing your strength like the eagle’s.

The Death-Free Zone: You have been translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son—a jurisdiction where death has no legal standing.

III. THE APOSTOLIC PATTERN OF DEPARTURE

Consider the early apostles. When you read the accounts of their lives, you notice something striking: they didn’t die because they grew old, “feeble,” or because their bodies “gave up.”

They departed this world because they had finished their course. Their transition was a choice of honor. Many chose to seal their message with their blood as martyrs, while others simply “laid down” their lives when their work was done. Death didn’t “take” them; they yielded their spirits to the Father.

This is the transcendent life. You don’t “succumb” to death; you master the timing of your life because you are in union with the Prince of Life.

IV. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: NAVIGATING THE IMMORTALITY CODE

Q1: If death is ‘abolished,’ why do we still see Christians dying of sickness or accidents?

Answer: Death remains a “fact” in the fallen world, but for the believer, it has lost its “power” and “sting” (1 Corinthians 15:55). Many die prematurely because they are still subject to the fear of death, or they lack the consciousness of the life-code in their spirits. When you live in the “Fear-Free Zone,” you exercise dominion over the circumstances that lead to premature death.

Q2: How do I practically live in ‘the consciousness of immortality’?

Answer: It starts with your Confession. If you keep saying, “This cold is killing me” or “I’m getting old and tired,” you are aligning with the law of decay. Instead, you say, “The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is vitalizing my body. I am ageless, fearless, and full of life!”

Q3: What does it mean that Jesus ‘brought immortality to light’?

Answer: It means immortality was always God’s plan, but it was “hidden” under the shadow of the Fall. Through the Gospel, Jesus “turned on the lights,” showing us that we can live forever in Him. He revealed that we have a life that is superior to biological cessation.

V. THE RESURRECTION REALITY: JOHN 11:25–26

Jesus made a staggering claim to Martha: “I am the resurrection, and the life… whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

This is the ultimate question for April 2026: Do you believe this? * To believe this is to stop living in “survival mode.”

  • To believe this is to plan for a future of impact, regardless of your age.

  • To believe this is to walk into any room—even a room of sickness—with the confidence of an immortal.

VI. REFLECTION & CONFESSION

THOUGHT TO PONDER:

If I truly believed that death was abolished, how would my level of boldness change today? Would I still be afraid of “what might happen,” or would I be focused on “what I can make happen”?

PROPHETIC DECREE FOR APRIL 3RD:

I decree that you are walking in the “Victory of the Empty Tomb” today! Every shadow of fear that has tried to hover over your health or your future is dispelled by the Light of the Gospel. I command every cell in your body to align with the Law of Life. You shall not be “worn out” by the pressures of this world. You are strong, you are fearless, and you are manifesting the ageless life of God in every dimension of your being!

CONFESSION:

I’m fearless and bold, living in the consciousness that the Lord Jesus has abolished death and brought me into life and immortality. I walk in strength, health, and glory. I refuse to succumb to the fear of the future or the fear of decay. The life of God in me is incorruptible and divine; it vitalizes my mortal body and renews my mind daily. I live in Christ’s victory: fearless, strong, and full of life. Hallelujah! Amen.
