MINISTERS OF LIGHT (PART II)

MEMORISE: “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.” — (ISAIAH 8:18)

I. THE NECESSITY OF SIGNS AND WONDERS

As we transition into the final weekend of March 2026, the Holy Spirit is expanding our understanding of what it means to be a “Minister of Light.” Yesterday, we established that light is our identity. Today, we must recognize that light is also our authority.

In the world of 2026, where skepticism is high and voices are many, the Gospel often requires a “demonstration” to gain a hearing. In John 4:48, Jesus made a profound observation: “Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.” For many in your office, your neighborhood, and even your family, words alone are no longer enough. They need to see a power that is superior to their problems. They need to see the Light in action.

You are not just a carrier of a message; you are a portal for the miraculous. You are God’s instrument for revealing His nature to a world sitting in the shadow of death.

II. THE MANDATE OF THE BELIEVER

Our Fire Scripture in Mark 16:17–20 outlines the “Identity Card” of the believer. It lists signs that shall follow them that believe:

1. Casting out devils.

2. Speaking with new tongues.

3. Divine protection (immunity against serpents and deadly things).

4. The healing of the sick through the laying on of hands.

1. The Divine Division of Labor

Many Christians hesitate to lay hands on the sick because they feel the pressure of the “result.” They worry, “What if I pray and nothing happens?” or “What if they don’t get well?” Beloved, you must understand the spiritual division of labor: The “Laying on of Hands” is your job; the “Recovery” is God’s job.

Scripture does not say, “Lay hands on the sick and make them recover.” It says, “They shall lay hands on the sick, and they [the sick] shall recover.” When you obey the command to touch the sick in faith, the Power of God—the Light—flows through your hands to enforce the recovery. You provide the contact; He provides the current.

2. Special Miracles

God is looking to perform “special miracles” through you, much like He did through Paul in Acts 19:11-12. These are miracles that defy traditional patterns. But these miracles cannot happen if the “Minister of Light” remains passive. You must be willing to be the conduit.

III. THE GROWTH OF FAITH: FROM THE SECRET TO THE PUBLIC

Faith is like a muscle; it grows with exercise. I remember my early days as a young minister. When I first read that I could lay hands on the sick, I didn’t start on a crusade platform. I started in the privacy of my own home.

A Personal Testimony: When my children would complain of a headache, I would take them into a room where no one could see us. I would lay my hands on them and command the pain to go in Jesus’ name. To be honest, in those early days, I would make sure there was some medicine nearby just in case! My faith was small, but I was willing to start. God, in His infinite mercy, met me at that level. Within minutes, they would be well. Today, after years of seeing Him prove His Word, I can lay hands on anyone with absolute confidence because I know Jesus cannot fail.

Do not despise the day of small beginnings. Start where you are. Use your faith for the “minor” things today, and you will find it ready for the “major” things tomorrow.

IV. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: WALKING IN MIRACULOUS AUTHORITY

Q1: What if I don’t feel ‘powerful’ or ‘anointed’ when I lay hands on someone?

Answer: Miracles are based on Authority, not Feeling. When a traffic warden raises his hand, the cars stop—not because he feels strong, but because he represents the government. When you lay hands in the Name of Jesus, you are acting on the authority of the King of Kings. The power is in the Name, not in your emotions.

Q2: Should I stop taking medicine if I’m practicing this ‘Minister of Light’ authority?

Answer: Faith and medicine are not enemies; however, one is natural and the other is supernatural. As your faith grows, you will find yourself relying more on the Power of God. Never throw away medicine out of “pious showmanship.” Throw it away because you have received a witness in your spirit that the work is done.

Q3: Can a ‘lay member’ perform these signs, or is it only for Pastors?

Answer: Mark 16:17 says these signs follow “them that believe.” It doesn’t say “them that are ordained” or “them that wear collars.” If you are a believer, you are qualified. You are a Minister of Light in your marketplace, your school, and your home.

V. THE BOLDNESS OF LIGHT

Light is never timid. It does not apologize for entering a dark room. As a child of God, your identity as “Light” (Matthew 5:14) is a settled fact. Therefore, be bold.

When you encounter sickness, poverty, or demonic oppression this week, do not shrink back. Remember Isaiah 8:18—you and the “children” God has given you (your physical children and your spiritual converts) are for signs and wonders. You are a walking advertisement of Heaven’s power.

VI. REFLECTION & PROPHETIC PRAYER

THOUGHT TO PONDER:

Is there someone in my circle of influence currently suffering whom God wants to reach through my hands? Am I willing to risk a “failure” in order to obey God’s command to heal?

PROPHETIC DECREE FOR MARCH 28TH:

I decree today that the “Signs-and-Wonders” dimension of your life is activated! From this Saturday, March 28th, 2026, your hands become “Conduits of Fire.” As you lay them on the sick, they shall recover. As you speak the Word, demons shall flee. I decree that the “Special Miracles” mentioned in Acts 19 shall become a common occurrence in your household. You are no longer just a spectator of miracles; you are a perpetrator of them, in Jesus’ Name!

PRAYER POINTS:

For Boldness: Father, please take away every trace of fear and doubt from my heart. Give me the boldness to lay hands on the sick and speak Your Word with authority.

For Faith Growth: Lord, meet me at my current level of faith and help me grow. Let my ‘secret’ victories lead to public testimonies.

For Divine Partnership: Father, as I go forth to preach and serve, work with me. Confirm Your Word in my mouth with signs following.

For the Sick: I speak to every infirmity in my body and the bodies of those around me: ‘In the name of Jesus, go!’ I release the light of health now.
