MESSAGE BY: PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: LUKE 1:1–25 & DEUTERONOMY 3–4

2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: ACTS 27:32–44 & PSALM 78

MEMORY VERSE: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” — (3 JOHN 1:4)

I. THE SUPREMACY OF TRUTH IN THE NEW CREATION

As we navigate the middle of March 2026, we find ourselves in an era often characterized as “post-truth.” The world around us is saturated with “alternative facts,” digital deceptions, and shifting moral sands. Yet, for the believer, the anchor remains unchanged. The Apostle John, often called the Apostle of Love, was equally the Apostle of Truth. In his first short epistle alone, he utilized the word “truth” at least ten times. It was the heartbeat of his ministry.

When John wrote in 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth,” he wasn’t merely talking about people being “honest” or telling the truth. He was describing a lifestyle of alignment. He was rejoicing because the brethren were living in the reality of the New Creation. To walk in truth is to live in sync with the highest reality of the Spirit, regardless of what the physical senses or global circumstances suggest.

II. TRUTH IS NOT A CONCEPT; TRUTH IS A PERSON

One of the greatest mistakes a Christian can make is to view Truth as a set of rules, a list of doctrines, or abstract philosophical ideas. In the Kingdom of God, Truth is a Person.

Jesus Christ didn’t say, “I have the truth” or “I am teaching the truth.” He made the audacious, world-shaking claim in John 14:6: “…I am the way, the truth, and the life….”

John 1:14 tells us the Word was made flesh and was “full of grace and truth.”

John 1:17 clarifies that while the Law was a shadow given through Moses, Truth itself came by Jesus Christ.

Therefore, when you “walk in truth,” you are walking in Christ. You are living by the laws of the Kingdom of Heaven. If the world says there is a casting down, but the Word says there is a lifting up, “Truth” is the lifting up. The physical circumstance is a “fact,” but the Word of God is the “Truth.” Facts are subject to change; Truth is eternal.

III. THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH: YOUR DIVINE NAVIGATOR

How do we navigate a world of shadows and lies? God did not leave us to guess. He gave us the Spirit of Truth.

Jesus promised in John 16:13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…” In 2026, this is your greatest competitive advantage. While the world struggles with misinformation and economic uncertainty, the Spirit of Truth reveals the things of Christ to you.

Worship, too, is anchored here. John 4:23-24 declares that the Father is actively seeking those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. This means worship that is not based on emotional hype or religious tradition, but worship that is born from a spirit that is in total agreement with the Word of God.

IV. COMPREHENSIVE Q&A: CALIBRATING YOUR WALK

Q1: What is the difference between “fact” and “truth” in my daily life?

Answer: A fact is a temporary physical reality. For example, a medical report may be a “fact.” However, 1 Peter 2:24 says by His stripes you were healed—that is the Truth. To walk in truth is to use the Truth to change the fact. Truth is the parent reality; facts are the children that must eventually obey the parent.

Q2: How do I practically “walk in truth” when everything seems to be going wrong?

Answer: You walk in truth by refusing to confess the problem more than the promise. Yield to the Holy Spirit. He is the “Comforter” and the “Spirit of Truth.” When you are confused, stop and say, “Spirit of Truth, guide me into the reality of Christ in this situation.” He will reveal the scripture that acts as the legal ground for your victory.

Q3: Why did John say he had “no greater joy” than this?

Answer: Because as a spiritual father, John knew that as long as his children walked in truth, they were invincible. Truth is a fortress. John 8:32 says the truth you know (by experience) is the truth that makes you free. A child of God walking in truth cannot be enslaved by demons, poverty, or fear.

Q4: Is it possible to have faith but not walk in truth?

Answer: Faith is the substance of things hoped for, but Truth is the ground upon which faith stands. If your faith is not based on the Truth (the Word), it is merely “positive thinking.” Walking in truth ensures your faith is effectual because it is aligned with God’s perfect will.

V. REFLECTION & PROPHETIC DECREE

KEY PRINCIPLE: Walking in truth is living in alignment with Christ, His Word, and the guidance of the Spirit of Truth.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR MARCH 15TH:

I decree that from this Sunday, March 15th, 2026, your eyes are opened to the Higher Reality! You shall no longer be a victim of the “facts” of this world. Every lie of the enemy concerning your health, your family, and your finances is dismantled by the light of the Truth! You are walking in the Spirit of Truth, and therefore, you are walking in perpetual victory! No deception shall find a home in your mind, and no error shall characterize your path, in Jesus’ Name!

PRAYER:

Dear Father, I thank You for the blessedness of knowing and walking in the Truth. Thank You for the Spirit of Truth who lives in me and guides me daily into Your perfect will. I refuse to be misled by the shadows of this world. My life is in alignment with Your Word, and I fulfill Your divine purpose in the earth today. My life is for Your glory, now and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
