“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” (Acts 1:8, KJV)
I. THE ONTOLOGY OF THE RESCUE MISSION
As we navigate the month of February 2026, the Holy Spirit is bringing a sharp correction to our approach to the Great Commission. Many believers today have turned evangelism into a “Sales Pitch” or a “Debate.” We spend hours polishing our “Grammar,” refining our “Arguments,” and trying to be “Intellectually Sophisticated” enough to convince the skeptic.
However, the Word of God reveals a different reality. Soul-winning is not a technical exercise; it is a Supernatural Rescue Mission. If you treat it like a debate, you will return home with sweat on your brow but no fruit in your basket. Imagine a man drowning in a turbulent sea. You don’t stand on the shore and negotiate with the water. You don’t read the drowning man a lecture on the chemical composition of H2O. You throw him a lifeline and pull him out! The unsaved soul is not just “misinformed”; he is “drowning” in a spiritual current that is stronger than his will.
II. THE “BLINDFOLD PROTOCOL”: UNDERSTANDING THE OPPOSITION
In 2 Corinthians 4:4, we see the forensic reason why “Grammar” fails: “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.” You must realize that when you speak to an unbeliever, you are not just persuading a person; you are contending with a Blindfold. The “God of this world” (Satan) has placed a spiritual veil over their understanding. This is why you can present the most logical, airtight argument for Christ, and the person will simply nod, smile, and walk away unchanged. It is not always stubbornness; it is darkness sitting on the mind.
Light vs. Grammar: You cannot remove a physical blindfold with a dictionary; you remove it with your hands. Similarly, you don’t remove spiritual darkness with “Grammar”; you remove it with Light. And Light is the manifestation of the Power of God.
III. THE PARTNERSHIP OF THE WITNESS
Jesus settled the methodology once and for all in Acts 1:8. He didn’t say, “You shall receive a PhD in Theology and then be my witnesses.” He said, “Ye shall receive POWER.” To be effective in 2026, you must enter into a conscious, daily partnership with the Holy Spirit.
The Intelligence of the Spirit: The Holy Spirit knows the “Internal Weather” of the person you are talking to. He knows the secret pain, the hidden fear, and the exact word that will act as a “Key” to unlock that heart.
The Seed of the Word: While we rely on Power, we must never abandon the Seed. Salvation requires the “Incorruptible Seed” of God’s Word. Don’t replace the Gospel with “Cool Stories” or “Social Justice” talks. The Power is in the Gospel (Romans 1:16). Carry the Word as a “Sword,” not as a “Suggestion.”
IV. THE STRATEGY OF THE CLOSET: PRAYER BEFORE PROCLAMATION
The secret to powerful public witnessing is private “Wrestling.” Before you speak to men about God, you must speak to God about men.
Bind the Blindfolder: In your closet, identify the person you want to reach. Bind the “God of this world” that is blinding them. Demand that the light of the glorious Gospel shines into their hearts.
The “Andrew” Request: Ask God to send “His own Andrew” to them—someone they trust, or a divine encounter (a dream, a vision, a miraculous coincidence) that brings conviction.
The Labor of Love: Soul-winning must be a lifestyle, not a Saturday morning activity. Hold these souls in your heart. Keep praying until the “Something” happens.
V. CONCLUSION: THE CALL TO GREATER WORKS
In 2026, we are not called to be “Religious Talkers.” We are called to be “Kingdom Demonstrators.” As you prepare for the Annual School of Ministry (ASOM) with the theme “GREATER WORKS,” start practicing the “Greater Works” protocol today. Refuse to be ashamed. Refuse to rely on your own eloquence. Lean on the Holy Ghost and watch the blindfolds fall!
THOUGHT TO PONDER
Am I trying to win souls with my “Coolness” or with His “Power”? If my grammar is perfect but the Holy Ghost is absent, am I really witnessing?
PRAYER POINTS
THE EMPOWERMENT DECREE: Holy Spirit, I surrender my tongue to You today. I refuse to rely on my own grammar. Clothe my words with Your Fire! Let my witness be accompanied by “Demonstration of Spirit and Power,” in Jesus’ name!
THE BREAKING OF VEILS: Father, in the name of Jesus, I bind the “god of this world” over [Name of Person/Community]. I tear down the blindfold of darkness! I command the Light of Christ to penetrate their understanding NOW!
THE DIVINE ENCOUNTER: Lord, grant [Name] a divine encounter today. Send a “Philip” to their chariot or an “Andrew” to their house. Let Your conviction hit their hearts like a hammer, in Jesus’ name!
THE ASOM ANOINTING: Father, as we prepare for the 2026 Annual School of Ministry, let the “Greater Works” mantle fall upon us. Equip Your Church to move from “Talk” to “Manifestation”!
