MEMORISE: “And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;” (Judges 6:9)
In this reflection, we will explore DEALING WITH DEMONIC OPPRESSION and its implications for our spiritual journey.
BIBLE READING: EXODUS 1:7-14 (KJV)
I. THE HIDDEN FACE OF OPPRESSION
As we conclude the first month of 2026, we must address a subtle but devastating weapon in the enemy’s arsenal: Oppression. There is a common misconception in the Body of Christ that deliverance is only for the “obviously possessed”—those foaming at the mouth or shouting in the streets. However, the Word of God reveals that a person can be “normal,” hold a corporate job, and even occupy a church pew, while being under a heavy cloud of demonic oppression.
In Mark 1:23-27, we see a man in the synagogue—a religious setting. He likely looked like everyone else until the “Light of the World” walked in. The presence of Jesus forced the hidden oppression to manifest. Oppression is a “weight.” It is a spiritual “ceiling” designed to keep you from rising to the height God has ordained for you. Today, I decree that every invisible weight hindering your flight is set on fire in the name of Jesus!
II. THE ANATOMY OF THE “PHARAOH-SYSTEM”
Our Bible reading in Exodus 1 provides a perfect blueprint of how oppression works. The Israelites were fruitful and increasing. This growth triggered a “Pharaoh-Response.” Pharaoh said, “Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply.” Oppression is strategic. It is the “wise dealing” of the devil to ensure that your efforts do not translate into results.
Stagnation (The Glass Ceiling): You are working harder than everyone else, but you are not moving forward.
Bitterness of Life (Hard Bondage): You are making “bricks and mortar” for others to build their cities (Pharaoh’s treasure cities), while you remain a tenant in your own life.
Invisible Burdens: Like the lady who felt a “bag of rice” on her head, oppression manifests as unexplained fatigue, constant headaches, or a sense of impending doom that has no medical explanation.
III. THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING FILE
One of the most profound ways oppression works in the 21st century is through “Institutional Sabotage.” I recall the testimony of a young man whose promotion was mysteriously stalled for years. He was diligent and qualified, but whenever the promotion board met, his name was never on the list.
Unknown to him, his Head of Department (HOD) had physically hidden his file. In the spirit realm, this is called “Covering the Glory.” The enemy doesn’t need to kill you if he can just “hide your file.” If your file is missing, your record of service is invisible to those who should reward you.
However, when this man surrendered his life to Jesus, the “Covenant of Deliverance” was activated. A military coup—a shaking of the nation—led to the forceful retirement of that HOD. The new HOD found the file in the dark corner where it had been suppressed. Not only was the man promoted, but he received a Double Promotion to compensate for the wasted years. This 2026, God is shaking your “Department” to reveal your hidden “File”!
IV. DELIVERANCE FOR THE FRONTLINE WORKERS
It is a tragedy that even ministers of God can be under oppression. A pastor may fast for forty days, preach with the eloquence of angels, and study the Bible day and night, yet the church remains stagnant. The “Oppressor” stands at the gate of the ministry to ensure that the “Fruit” does not match the “Labor.”
But there is a promise in Exodus 1:12: “But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew.” When you are in covenant with God, the very pressure intended to crush you will become the “Diamond-Press” that increases you. The fire of God is coming upon every “Taskmaster” assigned to your destiny.
V. CONCLUSION: THE FIRE OF CONSUMPTION
Oppression thrives in the dark. Today, we bring the Light of God into every area of your life. Whether it is a “Pharaoh” at your workplace, a “HOD” hiding your file, or an “Unclean Spirit” sitting on your head, their time is up. The blood of Christ has bought your victory. You are a conqueror, and the “Mighty Power” of God is prevailing on your behalf.

PRAYER POINTS
THE FIRE OF EVICTION: Father, I thank You for Your word. Every demonic force that has been “hiding” in my life, I evict you today by the fire of the Holy Ghost! Out! In Jesus’ name!
THE RECOVERY OF THE FILE: Father, wherever my “File of Promotion” has been hidden—in the physical or in the spiritual—let Your fire consume the “Hider” and let my file be found today!
THE BREAKING OF THE CEILING: Lord, I break every “Glass Ceiling” of stagnation over my career, my ministry, and my business. I decree that I am rising above the Egyptian borders, in Jesus’ name!
THE DOUBLE PROMOTION DECREE: Father, for every year I have been oppressed and delayed, grant me a “Double Promotion” and “Restoration of Wasted Years” in this year 2026, in Jesus’ name!
FOR PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE: Father, continue to deliver Your son from every form of oppression. Let his fire never grow dim, and let his “Multiplication” know no bounds, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT: Oppression is a sign that you are “Great and Mighty” enough to be feared by the enemy. Don’t cry about the affliction; activate the fire!
