THE ONLY ACCESS TO THE FATHER

THE ABSOLUTENESS OF CHRIST’S EXCLUSIVITY

Acts 4:12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 10:13-15: 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

2 Corinthians 5:18-19: 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

INTRODUCTION: THE NON-NEGOTIABLE DECLARATION

The words of the Master, uttered in the upper room to His disciples, are perhaps the most absolute, most exclusive, and most world-shaking declaration ever made by any religious or spiritual leader in history: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

Note the definitive article: He did not say He was “a way” among many paths; He declared Himself to be “the way.” There is no ambiguity, no room for negotiation, and no possibility of alternative routes. He is the way, He is the truth, and He is the life. This profound statement sets Christianity apart from all other belief systems.

In an age dominated by pluralism, where the popular sentiment holds that all paths lead to the same destination, the Word of God stands firm and unyielding against the tide of cultural relativism. The Apostles, operating in the power of the Holy Ghost, echoed this absolute truth: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Salvation, the glorious liberation of the human spirit from the bondage of sin and eternal separation, is found in no one else but Him. It is found in the Name of Jesus, and the confession of His Lordship.

Since this is the absolute, non-negotiable, eternal truth—the reality upon which the destiny of every soul hangs—we cannot afford to be silent. This truth imposes upon us a tremendous, yet glorious, responsibility: we must live each day, making it our life’s highest priority to lead others to Christ. Our very existence as believers must be a testament to this exclusive access, driven by the urgency that He is their only hope.

I. JESUS IS THE WAY: THE DOCTRINE OF RECONCILIATION

The most fundamental theological problem facing humanity is separation from God. Due to the sin of Adam and the subsequent nature inherited by man, a vast gulf opened between a Holy God and sinful humanity. This separation is the root of all spiritual lostness.

A. The Barrier Removed

If Jesus is the Way to the Father, it means there was a barrier that needed removal. This barrier was our trespasses, our sins, and our alienation from God. No amount of human effort, good deeds, religious rituals, or philosophical enlightenment could ever bridge this gap. The only required currency for reconciliation was a perfect, spotless sacrifice.

This is why Jesus could not be merely a prophet, a teacher, or a good man. To be the Way, He had to be God incarnate, offering Himself as the perfect, once-and-for-all atonement for sin. By laying down His life, He became the bridge—the literal, living path that crosses the chasm of separation.

The Apostle Paul details the glorious outcome of this work in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19:

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

The doctrine of reconciliation shows that the initiative came from God; He took the step to bring us back. He did this through Jesus Christ. Therefore, to seek reconciliation outside of Christ is to reject the only provision God ever made for restoration. The Way is singular, because the sacrifice was singular and sufficient.

B. The Exclusivity of the Name

The apostles, having witnessed the resurrection and operating in the power of the Name, understood this exclusivity perfectly. When Peter healed the lame man at the Beautiful Gate, he faced the religious authorities and declared: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

This is a statement of divine finality. The Name of Jesus is not just one powerful name; it is the only authoritative, effective, and commissioned Name for salvation. It signifies a unique, non-transferable authority granted by the Father. All other names—whether of philosophical figures, ancient deities, or spiritual masters—lack the divine sanction and the power of the atoning blood necessary to deliver eternal life.

Therefore, when we preach Jesus, we are not promoting a brand; we are presenting the only means of escape from eternal doom. We are pointing lost men and women to the single, sovereign access point to the Father’s presence.

II. JESUS IS THE TRUTH: THE ABSOLUTENESS OF REALITY

The Master continued His declaration: “I am… the truth.” In a world drowning in subjective experience and philosophical relativism—where the prevailing wisdom is, “What is true for you may not be true for me”—Jesus offers a solid, objective, unwavering Truth.

A. Truth Defined by Person, Not Principle

The profound nature of this statement is that Jesus did not say, “I teach the truth,” or “I show the truth.” He said, “I am the truth.” The Truth of God is not merely a collection of principles or a set of rules; the Truth is embodied in a Person.

Jesus is the ultimate, final, and complete revelation of the Father. If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus. If you want to know God’s mind, listen to Jesus. Every attribute of the Father—His holiness, His love, His justice, and His mercy—finds perfect expression and definition in the Son.

When people accept Jesus, they are not just subscribing to a belief system; they are encountering Reality itself. They exchange the shifting sands of human opinion for the eternal foundation of God’s established Word.

B. The Truth That Liberates

One of the great promises associated with the Truth is liberty. Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Sin keeps men in bondage—bondage to fear, to destructive habits, to guilt, and to the dominion of the evil one. Only the Truth, embodied in Christ, has the power to shatter these chains.

The confession of Christ’s Lordship is the acceptance of the Truth, which immediately ushers the believer into “the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Romans 8:21). We are freed from the penalty of sin, freed from the power of sin, and ultimately, we will be freed from the presence of sin. This freedom is absolute, complete, and guaranteed only through the acceptance of the Truth.

III. JESUS IS THE LIFE: THE POSSESSION OF ETERNITY

Finally, the Master declared: “I am… the life.” This is not merely biological existence (bios) or conscious life (psychē); this is Zoe—the God-kind of eternal life that transcends time and mortality.

A. The Indwelling of Eternal Life

When we receive Jesus Christ, we receive Eternal Life as a present possession, not a future promise reserved for heaven. 1 John 5:20 confirms this: “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

Jesus Christ is Eternal Life. Therefore, whoever has the Son, has the Life. This is the primary reason we preach. We are not just sharing encouraging thoughts; we are dispensing Eternal Life itself. We are rescuing men and women from the path of perishing and infusing them with the divine, incorruptible nature of God.

Furthermore, this Life comes with an absolute guarantee of security: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand” (John 10:28). The security of the believer rests not on their ability to hold onto God, but on God’s omnipotence and faithfulness to hold onto them. The Life He gives is eternal, irreversible, and guaranteed by His hand.

B. The Dreadful Alternative

The necessity of preaching the Life is underscored by the tragic reality of the alternative. John 3:36 provides the solemn contrast: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

The absence of Christ is not simply a neutral, alternative existence; it is an existence under the abiding, unchanging wrath of God. The man or woman without Christ is walking a path that leads to eternal separation—a spiritual death far worse than physical death.

This reality fuels the urgency in our hearts. We cannot stand by and watch people, whom the Father loves and for whom Christ died, walk willingly into this eternal separation simply because they have not heard the Good News. The stakes are too high. The consequence of silence is too dreadful.

IV. THE URGENCY OF THE MANDATE: THE BEAUTIFUL FEET

Since Jesus is the only access, our logical, Spirit-led response must be one of intense, passionate, and organized evangelism. Our mandate is rooted in the simple, inescapable logic laid out by Paul in Romans 10:14-15:

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

A. The Chain of Salvation

This passage establishes the fundamental Chain of Salvation—a chain with four crucial links, the first of which is the responsibility of the believer:

1. Sending (The Church’s role): God sends the preachers.

2. Preaching (The Preacher’s role): The preacher must go and speak.

3. Hearing (The Sinner’s opportunity): The sinner must hear the spoken Word.

4. Believing/Calling (The Sinner’s response): Belief is born from hearing, leading to the confession and salvation.

If the chain is broken at the point of Preaching, the entire process stops. If they don’t hear, they can’t believe. If they don’t believe, they can’t call. If they don’t call, they can’t be saved. Our silence is not neutrality; it is the ultimate obstruction in the path of salvation for the unsaved.

B. The Beauty of the Feet

The statement that the feet of those who preach the Gospel are beautiful is highly significant. In ancient times, the feet of soldiers or messengers coming from battle or far territories were often dirty, dusty, and bloody. Yet, they were beautiful because they brought a message of victory, peace, and hope.

Our labour of evangelism may lead us into uncomfortable places, difficult conversations, and challenging territories. Our feet may get dusty on the streets, tired from travel, and worn out from visiting hospitals and prisons. But they are deemed beautiful by God because they are carrying the Gospel of Peace—the glad tidings that Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

This phrase elevates the act of preaching the Gospel from a mundane task to a sacred, aesthetically glorious mission. We are carrying the most precious message in the universe, and the urgency of the message makes the messenger’s journey beautiful.

V. THE PRACTICAL OUTFLOW OF CONVICTION

Since we are called to the Ministry of Reconciliation and entrusted with the Word of Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19), our lives must be defined by practical, intentional, and persistent outreach.

A. Organized and Passionate Outreach

We are not just participating in religious activities; we are fulfilling God’s highest calling—the divine strategy for rescuing lost humanity. This rescue mission requires organization, passion, and scale.

This is why we:

Organise outreaches and crusades to reach thousands simultaneously with the mass declaration of the Name of Jesus.

Establish cell meetings and fellowships as vital points of contact, discipleship, and continuous evangelism in every locality.

Distribute Rhapsody of Realities all over the world, ensuring that the Word of reconciliation is available in every language, culture, and remote corner of the earth. Rhapsody of Realities is more than a devotional; it is a vital tool for soul-winning, carrying the immutable truth of Christ to hearts globally.

Our organized efforts demonstrate that we take the exclusivity of Christ’s access seriously. Because there is no other name, we must be systematic, bold, and strategic in deploying this Name worldwide.

B. Boldness and Power

The Gospel must be proclaimed with boldness and power. The knowledge that we carry the only solution to humanity’s deepest problem removes all timidity and fear. We do not apologize for the exclusivity of Christ; we celebrate it, because it means the solution is clear, definitive, and perfectly effective.

The early church prayed for boldness (Acts 4:29), and they received it. Our prayers must continually reflect this desire: a refusal to be silent. We proclaim the Gospel with the conviction that we are turning many from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. We are delivering the lost from the prince of this world and transferring them into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.

C. Relentless Urgency

The mandate is to “keep at it, passionately, boldly, and with urgency until every man, woman, boy and girl has heard and received the Gospel.” This is the measure of our devotion to the Master and His saving truth.

Every single soul won is a demonstration of the power of the Name. Every new convert is another trophy of grace, another person who has moved from eternal separation to eternal life. Our work is not done until the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. This is the goal of our global vision—to ensure that no one is left behind who could have been saved had a preacher been sent, had a Rhapsody been distributed, or had a call been made.

CONCLUSION: THE GLORY OF THE ONLY ACCESS

The declaration that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life is the most loving statement ever spoken. If there were another way, the Father would not have sent His only begotten Son to die (John 3:16). The fact that the price was so high proves that the access is so singular.

We have been entrusted with this sublime, all-important responsibility. We carry the only message that guarantees life, truth, and access to the Creator. We are the ambassadors, the preachers, the distributors, and the organizers of this divine rescue operation.

Let us rise up today with fresh conviction, renewed passion, and uncompromising boldness. Let our lives be completely consumed by the priority of leading men and women to the Only Access to the Father. The message of salvation is spreading rapidly, and through our obedience, the Lord Jesus is eternally glorified.

Hallelujah! The Way is open, the Truth is revealed, and the Life is imparted!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the Name of Jesus by which all men are saved. I refuse to be silent. I proclaim the Gospel with unyielding boldness and conquering power, turning many from the domain of darkness to the kingdom of light, and from the power of Satan unto God. I am passionately committed to the Ministry of Reconciliation. The message of salvation is spreading rapidly through my efforts and the efforts of every believer globally, and the Lord Jesus is glorified continually. Amen.
